Broward is offline again. We are way behind on actual data from them, much to the chagrin of Dems across the state. Lake County just finished coloring in their Excel chart. What year is it? Without good data from Broward, the state is reading R+4.6. GOP allegedly leads by 279k. 🤷‍♂️

If Dems were hoping favorable early vote patterns would extend into EDay, that's not happening in Florida, where EDay turnout is tracking *much* more GOP (51%-26%) than the early vote (40%-38%). Not at all surprising, considering so many energized Dems voted early/by mail.

As of 1pm the total vote is GOP +6.7% Republicans continue to have big margins, but voting has slowed down Jesus I guess democrats will really end with a turnout % lead, the first in modern history But that GOP +11% registration gap matters #flapol

One thing on tonight in Florida for people watching - it will look a bit like the opposite of a lot of states. Because Florida law - smartly - allows the counting of VBM and EV ballots before 7pm, the early results, if the race is competitive, will likely look pretty Democratic, and then likely get more Republican. Again for of the obsessively online people, that isn't my prediction - its just how you have to think about the early returns.

Just putting this out once again especially for those outside of Fla ... In Fla an automatic recount happens if the margin is 0.5 or less. If that comes back 0.25 or less it's a manual recount of overvotes/undervotes. @AP may or may not call a race if it's in recount territory

November surprise! Will this impact voting?
Today, @GovRonDeSantis signed Executive Order 26-227 to expedite resources and assistance to communities impacted by the heavy flooding across portions of Florida. @FLSERT is working closely with local partners to ensure Floridians receive the support they need to respond and recover. Governor DeSantis says Republican turnout is disappointing. Says Democrats are doing a better job getting out the vote this year. “In 2022 when I was running you could put hot coals in front of the polling place and people were going to walk over them barefoot. They wanted to vote.”

NYT so eager to break an October surprise story, they run it even after their primary source has retracted, and has a grievance since she was fired. We expect better.

CBS deleted this post and reposted it admitting that their original one was misleading. And the misleading post from CBS was intentionally misleading, not an innocent mistake. CBS continues to lose credibility.
