8 days before the election and the journos are out with hot takes like "Republicans only create jobs to get reelected"
Stop us if you’ve heard this one before. Days before a tight election, Georgia Republican leaders unveil a blockbuster jobs deal and hold it up as proof voters should keep the GOP in charge. #gapol ajc.com/politics/2026/10/geo…

Thinking of opening a restaurant where customers pick up their own food from the window and have to wash the dishes after before they can leave.
its just bonkers the new policy @airbnb is trying to put in place. Putting the dishes in the dishwasher, taking out the trash, pulling the sheets off the bed....they are just standard things any normal person would do when staying at a house. Why wouldn't a host be allowed to say that?

The other day I was wearing my Nazi uniform and a stranger said “go Falcons!” and it was extremely embarrassing, you never want to be associated with an organization like that.

"Different approaches" is a funny way of saying Rick pays his taxes and Keisha doesn't.
Gubernatorial candidates Keisha Lance Bottoms and Rick Jackson have different approaches to how they handle their own taxes. mrf.lu/2vSsL

so the violent overthrow of the government by apparatchiks of the minority party depends on the minority party winning the election, thus attaining governing power through nonviolent means?
There is a literal coup against President Trump being plotted as we speak. 1,600+ former USAID employees, military, state dept diplomats, & foreign policy officials are planning violence for after the midterms. If Democrats win the House & Senate, the plot will be activated. DSA “foot soldiers” will take to the streets, instigating violence clashes with Trump law enforcement agents. They intend their violence to provoke Trump into invoking the Insurrection Act. If Trump invokes that law, the thugs plan to seize power from the federal govt in a “doomsday scenario” deletimizing the federal govt and giving power to Democrat governors in blue states. Then they plan to impose their “structural reforms” on the country. A “refounding” they call it. They mean impose communism on you. They also plan for a “breakthrough” to happen to take Trump out between now and Jan 3. This plot appears to be the brainchild of color revolution experts like Erica Chenoweth, and others who worked at USAID. Honestly it BLOWS MY MIND that some people are gonna sit out the midterms. Not vote. Are you crazy? Literal communists who hate you and want to kill you are plotting to overthrow our govt, steal your vote and topple the president you elected. Who, by the way, is THE ONLY PRESIDENT IN HISTORY who has successfully obliterated USAID, the institution that produces these color revolutions aimed at YOU. I get it, gas prices are too high. For sure. But are you out of your mind to throw away your midterm vote when the choice is between USAID thugs who are trying to stage a violent coup and topple our country and President Trump who DOGE’d USAID and cut off the funding that went from USAID to the NGOs that pay for the left wing color revolutions aimed at you??? I truly don’t get how anyone could skip voting in the midterms. I’d crawl over broken glass to give Trump’s agenda to dismantle the deep state two more years. And, you know, save our country and civilization from the violent death of communism. Just think, you wouldn’t even know about this coup plot if not for @DataRepublican. You might have skipped your vote, handed Congress to the Democrats and suddenly faced… revolutionary communist violence.

"I am entitled to investment returns on money that was never invested" is a fun take I've been seeing a lot lately
Someone should explain to you about compounding interest. I paid 250000. Amortize it over 37 years at historical market returns & get back to me There's 0 chance I get more back than I should That this concept escapes you is the very reason why you're never going to have shit

lmao white yuppies overwhelming voted for a communist to snatch the homes out from underneath black and brown families.
Isabel Adon bought into a co-op in the Bronx to build something for her children. Junior Gonzalez did it after serving in the Marines. They say overnight, the city of New York took it all with little to no notice or compensation, labeling their building "distressed" and transferring the deed to a nonprofit. This happened to hundreds of families, nearly all in minority communities. A $60 million settlement has been proposed, but the fight isn't over. Every family deserves the right to build generational wealth without fear of losing it.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
No major AI labs have announced or committed to universal $1000 weekly cash payments or an end to work/money concerns by 2028. This is going to be an NGO slush fund. This is a bribe to left-wing politicians to get them on board with AI so that will follow Anthropic's lead on any policy or regulation.
Between this and our prior commitments, roughly 20% of all Anthropic equity will be dedicated to the public good, and that commitment can grow as Anthropic grows. We plan to use these funds to ensure more people can share in the benefits of AI, and to increase our ability to provide funding to deal with its risks.
