🇪🇺🇺🇸 Goodbye, Palantir.
Europe is uniting around the goal of cutting ties with Palantir.
French intelligence has chosen ChapsVision, with Germany considering the same option.
Switzerland, Denmark and Britain’s NHS are seeking alternatives.
Palantir works for US intelligence and serves US interests, not Europe’s.
Intelligence and defence must be sovereign.
The EU must require European governments to phase out Palantir contracts over the coming years
An end to dependence on the US.

I'm less impressed by how @ossoff speaks (though he's terrific at that too) and more impressed by what he says.
This 2-minute clip is the best explanation of Trump corruption that I've ever heard. His explanation of the Russian dirty deals is so accurate and so clear. He knows the facts cold. And he explains them better than I can.

After the US midterms, one Russian paper this morning: “The main reason for the Republicans’ failure is clear – and its name is Trump.” Another: “Most voters are tired of Trump’s political shows…tired of being deceived, tired of being told ‘sugar’, but it doesn’t taste any sweeter.’ #ReadingRussia

Het gaat om de voorwaarden, waaronder we datacentra bouwen! decorrespondent.nl/17341/nee…
Hele redelijke eisen: #DataCenters
- Datacenters hier ENKEL voor lokale soevereine cloud
- ENKEL waar ruimte is op het stroomnet
- ENKEL gesloten vloeistofkoelsysteem; GEEN drinkwater!!

Vrijdag protest tegen datacenters parool.nl/amsterdam/datacent…
Ze zijn lelijk, slurpen energie en leveren ons zelf niets op.
Enkel AI Big Tech profiteert ervan.. #DataCentres #AI #Amsterdam

I put together a list of everything that broke the back of Trumpism.
The gas prices.
The unsanctioned war.
The massive corruption.
The incompetence.
The tariffs.
Playing nice with Russia.
The cruelty against American citizens.
The overly aggressive deportations.
The accidental arrests of American citizens who were Hispanic.
The ballroom.
The reflecting pool that doesn’t reflect.
The Qatari 747.
The aggressive redistricting push.
The threats against our allies.
By the way, I’m scratching the tip of the iceberg.

Times reports govt renewing NHS-Palantir contract over fear of patient disruption..proving*exactly* what critics have been saying. That we’re in a technofascist trap.

300 years of statistics said bigger models should get worse. More parameters means more memorization, more overfitting, more garbage on new data. Then in 2019, researchers pushed past perfect memorization and test error went down again. They called it double descent - the phenomenon that broke classical learning theory and justified every LLM scaling decision on every GPU cluster since.
The answer is the lottery ticket hypothesis. A huge network hides countless tiny sub-networks, each with its own random initialization. The number of tickets grows exponentially with size - the bigger the model, the more likely one sub-network finds the simplest solution. Up to 96% of weights can be deleted and performance stays the same. A model trained to predict the next word isn't a parrot - it's searching for the simplest program behind the text. And that program might be a model of the world.

Last night saw some of the greatest progressive victories in modern American history. All across the country, in rural and urban areas, Americans said NO to oligarchy, and YES to an agenda that fights for the working class.
Congratulations to the following candidates:
U.S. SENATE
Abdul El-Sayed (MI)
Peggy Flanagan (MN)
Troy Jackson (ME)
U.S. HOUSE
Bob Brooks (PA-7)
Rebecca Cooke (WI-3)
Sam Forstag (MT-1)
Adam Hamawy (NJ-12)
Melat Kiros (CO-1)
Brad Lander (NY-10)
Will Lawrence (MI-7)
Donavan McKinney (MI-13)
Brian Poindexter (OH-7)

In 1843, Hamilton realized complex numbers needed not one more dimension but two. One real part, three imaginary - i, j, k. He carved the equation into a Dublin bridge on October 16th. That number system now runs inside every 3D graphics engine, every robotics controller, and every LLM embedding space that maps language into high-dimensional geometry on GPU clusters today.
Quaternion multiplication spins two perpendicular circles simultaneously - something that can only happen in four dimensions. i times j is k, but j times i is -k. Rotations don't commute, like a Rubik's cube. That's exactly why game engines and spacecraft use quaternions instead of matrices - no gimbal lock, no numerical drift. The same rotation math that every transformer uses when computing rotary position embeddings to encode token order in the complex plane.
