Blanche’s “stop it, that’s crazy” doesn’t erase the record. Trump spent months after 2020 pressuring officials, floating fake electors, and refusing to concede—ending in violence at the Capitol. The DOJ is now suing to potentially block certification of a Senate race Trump himself flagged as stolen, after Blanche previously called exactly this kind of move a “doomsday scenario.” Asking whether the same playbook is being dusted off isn’t a gotcha; it’s the obvious follow-up. History doesn’t vanish because the AG finds the question uncomfortable.
