THE TIMELINE JUST GOT SHORTER
Pentagon documents describe a new requirement.
Every major military base in the continental United States must be able to run for at least 90 days on its own.
Power.
Water.
Fuel.
Communications.
No outside help.
That comes from documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, and the program has a name: FORTRESS America.
90 days.
Now picture day one of that for everyone who does not live on a base.
3 a.m. The refrigerator goes quiet. The router light is dead. Your phone is at 40 percent and the bars are gone.
The base keeps its lights on.
You do not.
Some of you called my last post fear mongering.
That was a scenario about a bank freezing you out.
This one is not my scenario.
It's the Pentagon's.
The result is the same either way.
If the power is out, the app will not load, the card will not tap and the ATM will not pay.
Money you cannot reach is money you do not have.
THE RECEIPTS
On September 30 Secretary Hegseth announced FORTRESS: Federal Operations for Resilience, Troop Resources, Energy, Supply and Survivability.
His line: every major installation will generate its own power, independent of the civilian grid.
The plan reportedly includes portable reactors, large batteries and microgrids that can cut off from the grid. A program office is being set up.
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell: "Power is combat now." He called reliance on civilian infrastructure an "intolerable risk" and said the next conflict will likely hit multiple fronts and break global supply chains.
THE WAR IN THE BACKGROUND
The US and Israel began striking Iran on February 28.
In March CENTCOM planned for at least 100 days.
The president had said four to five weeks.
By August 28 it had passed six months, the ceasefire had collapsed, and Hormuz, which carried about 20 percent of the world's oil and gas before the war, was still disrupted.
Plans get outrun.
THE GAP
Bases: 90 days.
Civilians: the UK, EU and Finland say 72 hours.
Sweden and Norway say a week.
Ireland is mailing booklets to 2.2 million homes.
The UK's own survey found only 13 percent of households say they are largely or fully prepared.
Governments say three days.
The Pentagon plans for ninety.
Nobody has told civilians to prepare for ninety.

WHAT FAILS FIRST
April 28, 2025. Spain and Portugal lose power. About 50 million people. ATMs and card terminals go dark and shops go cash only. Full recovery takes about 16 hours.
The US grid is straining under data center demand. NERC issued a rare Level 3 alert on those loads in May. Texas in 2021: millions without power for days and more than 200 deaths.
THE FAIR COUNTERPOINT
The Pentagon calls FORTRESS an insurance policy, not a prediction.
Militaries plan for worst cases.
Nothing says the grid goes down this week.
But when the people running the most powerful military on earth stop trusting the civilian grid for 90 days, I pay attention.
THE WARNING
Look at the pattern.
A bank freeze.
A grid failure.
A cyberattack.
A war that outran its plan.
Different doors, same room.
Payments, water, groceries and communication all sit on electricity and a handful of systems never designed to fail together.
The Pentagon is building for the day they do.
Governments are mailing booklets.
Nobody is telling you to panic.
They are signaling to be ready.
I do not know the date and I could be wrong.
But when the people responsible for national defense decide they cannot count on the grid for ninety days, the rest of us should not assume it will always be there.
Prepare while the shelves are full and the lights are on.

Two addons that could completely change World PvP in WoW Forever.
If you're planning to play World PvP in WoW Forever, there are two addons I genuinely think everyone should know about:
OVERLORD + WAR EFFORT
I've been using these during the beta, and after experiencing some incredible large-scale battles, I honestly believe these addons could play a huge role in keeping World PvP alive for years.
Here's what makes them so interesting.
1. OVERLORD โ Giving World PvP a purpose
Developed by @TromaFR
Overlord turns the open world into a battlefield where Horde and Alliance have actual reasons to fight each other.
Instead of just randomly killing players, you're fighting for objectives, territory and faction dominance.
What does Overlord offer?
- Territory control and capturable objectives across Azeroth.
- Guild keeps and outposts to capture and defend.
- Player and guild PvP leaderboards.
- Honorable kill and objective tracking.
- Notifications about ongoing battles.
- Opportunities for organized, large-scale faction warfare.
Imagine your guild capturing an important objective, only for an Alliance raid to arrive and challenge you.
You call for reinforcements, other guilds join the battle, and suddenly an entire zone turns into a massive Horde vs Alliance war.
That's exactly the kind of World PvP I want to experience.
And there's more coming!
The Overlord developer is also working on a dedicated website, with plans for player and guild leaderboards and additional information.
Having an external place to follow the World PvP competition could make things even more interesting.
2. WAR EFFORT โ Finding the fights

While Overlord gives us reasons to fight, War Effort helps us actually find those fights.
It creates a scouting network where players can share information about enemy activity across Azeroth.
What does War Effort offer?
- Enemy group sightings displayed on the world map.
- Information about enemy locations and group sizes.
- Layer information to help players reach the action.
- Alerts about enemy activity.
- Shared scouting information between players.
- Kill-on-sight lists and scouting objectives.
- Integration with Overlord objectives.
Think about what this means for organized World PvP.
Your guild is defending an objective in Ashenvale. Suddenly, scouts report a large Alliance group moving toward your position.
You know where they're coming from, how many players have been spotted and where reinforcements are needed.
Instead of randomly searching for PvP, you're preparing for an actual battle.
That's what makes War Effort so valuable.
3. WHY THESE ADDONS WORK SO WELL TOGETHER
This is where I believe the real potential lies.
OVERLORD gives players a reason to fight.
WAR EFFORT helps players find the fight.
One creates meaningful objectives and competition.
The other helps players communicate, locate enemies and organize battles around those objectives.
And both become more valuable when more people use them.
Imagine entire guilds coordinating attacks, defending territory, tracking enemy movements and fighting for their faction across Azeroth.
That's the kind of World PvP community I'd love to see develop in WoW Forever.
4. LET'S GET THE COMMUNITY INVOLVED
Whether you're Horde or Alliance, a solo player or part of a large PvP guild, I really encourage you to give both addons a try.
The more players who participate, the more opportunities we create for large-scale battles.
And after seeing what's already possible during the beta, I genuinely think we're only getting started.

FORTRESS: The Pentagon is preparing every major U.S. military base to survive 90 days without outside support โ no civilian power grid, no global supply chains, no outside fuel or water.
The initiative, revealed in documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, envisions portable nuclear reactors, massive battery storage, and microgrids that can disconnect installations from civilian electricity entirely. Strategic reserves of munitions, fuel, critical minerals, and medical supplies would be stockpiled based on wartime consumption rates. Civilian factories are being pre-identified to shift to defense production during a crisis.
Pentagon chief spokesperson Sean Parnell put it bluntly: "Power is combat now. Without electricity, you lose communications, water, logistics, assembly lines and just basic military command structures."

embarrassed me in front of the entire class for not being able to do basic math. She told the class in a loud voice, โI donโt know what to do with you! Youโre clearly retarded. You need to go to retard school.โ She was my teacher and I believed her. My self-esteem was crushed. I got to a point where I gave up trying and didnโt care about my grades or really anything. One afternoon, my parents had another epic fight. I remember yelling at them to stop. Emotionally, it was cutting me to pieces. I remember running with tears falling down my face for the front door. I opened the door and kept on running until I hit the periphery of our local cemetery. I bent forward to catch my breath and as I straightened up, I saw a literal bush in front of me on fire. Glorious flames. Holy Fire. I just stared in stunned silence. The Lord spoke to me that day. He told me to focus on my studies and grades. He also told me to stop feeling purposeless and refocus my life. He made it clear that He would get me through every obstacle Iโd encounter with my education. At that moment, I honestly laughed at God in disbelief when He said this and Iโm thankful Heโs forgiving. That same year, my aunt, a retired school teacher, diagnosed my dyslexia and taught me techniques to work around my disability. I started focusing and I felt purpose. I never stopped believing in Godโs promise. I started blossoming in school and before I knew it, I graduated from High School. Then, college turned into law school. There were many obstacles and challenges. Hereโs just one-all court documents have numbers on them. God pulled me through. In my practice I never lost focus of my purpose and helped countless clients receive alcohol and drug treatment. I dedicated my career to helping clients get into recovery.
