milwaukee brewers world series
I’ve asked this before but is there any historical event that is like the Opposite of 9/11. Like something so good that happened that it changed the world forever

Update from Japan: I watched the sausage race. MLB Japan posted it, and it turns out this started in 1993. Thirty three years of grown adults in giant sausage costumes sprinting around a ballpark. And this October it finally made its World Series debut, in the middle of the sixth inning. I watched it more times than I'd like to admit. So naturally I checked if I could catch it live tomorrow. Bad news. Game 4 is in Tampa, and the sausages stay home in Milwaukee. Even worse news, sort of. The Brewers are up 3 to 0. If they win tomorrow, there is no Game 6 back at American Family Field. So my heart is a little split. I want Milwaukee to finish it, after 44 years of waiting. But I also wanted one more sausage race. I'll take the trophy. The sausages can run again in April. 🌭⚾️ #Brewers

Watching the World Series from Japan, and I have to say this. Like a lot of Japanese fans, I was cheering for Ohtani and the Dodgers. A three-peat would have been amazing. So yes, I was a little sad when Milwaukee swept them. But then I started reading about the Brewers. They have never won a World Series. Their last trip was in 1982. Some fans waited their whole lives for this. Some didn't get to see it. Bob Uecker, the voice of the Brewers, passed away in January 2025. His family asked the city to win this one for him. I'm not crying, you're crying. In Japan we love a story where patience finally pays off. 44 years is a lot of patience. Also, I learned there is a sausage race in Milwaukee. People in costumes running as sausages. I have never wanted to visit a city more. So here I am. A Dodgers fan in Japan, quietly cheering for Milwaukee tonight. 🍺⚾️ #WorldSeries2026 #Brewers

People don't know this, but the Milwaukee Brewers have more than one mascot: - Deranged man who lives in the stands - Barrel of beer brought to life by a child's Xmas wish - Multi-Ethnic meat snack - Ghost of Bob Uecker #thisismycrew

you can tell a solo dev because they think this way in games, it's well known that tools programmers are unofficial designers. the nature of the tools dictates what designers build, and the limits of programmer imagination sets the boundaries for what can even be done. this "there is always one best solution" stuff is hot garbage pushed by people who work in a vacuum and can't imagine their work product as anything than a frame crane measured by efficiency in the real world, the work is collaborative and the code dictates what that collaboration is
Programming is not an art because there is always a best solution to a problem, its pure logic frontend design, game mechanics, then yes that can be a creative expression but i never heard of someone claiming while making a database architecture that they are making art

After working on multiple games with this woman, I truly WISH you guys could see her casting audition videos compared to her competition. It's like watching 1996 Michael Jordan turn up to a high school basketball game.
Alguien me puede explicar por qué esta mujer sale en todos los videojuegos del mundo?

Strong practical guide for learning formal mathematical expressions from their programming equivalents. Knowing formal mathematical conventions is very important! It will allow you to read technical papers, understand complex algorithms in depth, and translate concepts effectively into code. #Math2Code #HLSL #GLSL #Shaders #Graphics #GameDev #ComputerGraphics #Math #cpp

Middle-aged suburban moms are stealth, early tech adopters. They just care more about cutting cloth than conspicuous computation. E.g., this lady's sewing room has a spatially registered AR system projecting vector patterns onto fabric, plus a CNC sewing machine. L33T.

I've spent the past month converting my game MineMogul to use Box3D instead of PhysX. Here's the FPS difference on a few different save files that players sent me. FPS has roughly doubled, and the physics simulation is more realistic.
I’m happy to announce the release of a new open source 3D physics engine called Box3D. I’ve been working on this project for a few years now, but it represents over 20 years of experience writing physics engines for games. Read more here: box2d.org/posts/2026/06/anno…
