First day as a DevOps engineer at Binance! Everyone’s been so welcoming. Bloomberg already reached out for an interview. On day ONE! My mic wasn’t working, but their reporter helped me install a special app on my work laptop. Didn’t even have to bother IT. Feeling very valued here ❤️ (c)

Gotta stop mentioning crypto in crypto/fintech project's marketing
If even Binance can get hit like this, that tells you everything you need to know about the current state of the industry. Crypto as a brand is cooked at this point. The average person will associate the word "crypto" with "hacks" more than ever now. If you are building a crypto project, invest in your opsec properly. No shortcuts. If you are a user, embedded / MPC wallets are probably the best path right now. You get multiple backups through passkeys, social recovery, and for extra safety use multisig setup. Low complexity, high security. For most people, it is much better than any hardware wallet. Hardware wallets still have real problems on the data side and on personal safety, and we keep seeing examples of that. Blockchain has to become invisible. Low-risk DeFi, proper opsec, and insurance are more important than ever. We cannot keep putting money into centralized points of failure and hoping nothing goes wrong.

Hype is the definitive example of crypto utility entering the mainstream. Stablecoins and Neobanks are next and Plasma will lead the charge. Exciting times!
I am excited to be an investor in trade(xyz) as they partner with ICE to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the United States. As a market participant, I am looking forward to to using their innovative product to enhance my investment process.

Been filming a new Octopus podcast episode, the guest (will keep him undisclosed until we publish it 🤫) said a very interesting take, that every stablecoin fintech should listen to: In the next year, bank compliance for us is gonna become more complicated, and some of the companies could be de-banked So diversifying your banking relationships is the best think you could do right now Most neobanks/stablecoin infrastructure companies share the same underlying bank. Some of the most common names: Zenus, Banking Circle, SSB, Lead These are great companies, but still, diversification is super important

Remarkable that RedotPay IPO could be closer that Revolut IPO
.@Revolut started with a cheap card targeted at foreign spend before shipping an entire banking suite around it Stablecoin neobanks are running the same playbook on a shorter timeframe: - $14.8B annualised card spend - 75x growth in under three years - 3.3x more active users in a year They're consolidating as competitors (see EtherFi acq Zeal) AND as products Just providing a crypto card is not special anymore - users are gravitating towards comprehensive banking apps

Oil and gas traders are of the most interesting verticals to serve for crypto neobanks A lot of them already use stablecoins in their financial workflows, middle sized traders convert fiat to stablecoins and vice versa for $5-10M / month volume Building a banking + crypto OTC + convenient interface solution for them is one of the best opportunities in fintech rn

BREAKING: @RedotPay considering an IPO in the US at $4-5B valuation Would be a huge event for our “neobank” industry

Bringing national currency onchain should be a priority for every central bank right now
The euro has already lost to the dollar. > Stablecoin supply (Artemis, Oct 26): $310.9B > USD: ~99.7% > EUR: ~0.3% (€798M in total) > EURC, the biggest: €451M Dollar stablecoins already move hundreds of billions. The euro barely exists onchain. > $482B in stablecoin payments from January to September 2026, +45% YoY (Allium, est.) > 1.04B transactions, +71% (Allium) > 73% of transfer volume over the 12 months to July happened outside US banking hours (Coinbase x The Block Research) The ECB's digital euro? I think it's years away, and it won't even be onchain. In a few years, Europe will regret building a closed tool while money was already moving on open rails.

Staring a series of articles where I break down how different fintechs work inside: which banking partners they have, which customers they serve, etc The first one is generally about Canada-based BaaS providers, as an example I took @ConduitPay Would love to hear your feedback!

Some businesses are moving 5,10, sometimes even 50-100M/month through crypto OTC desks and now they are moving to neobanks Big things coming
people are moving some serious money through neobanks lol just look at these etherfi transactions flagged by onchain trackers between October 21–25: • $39,887 • $32,669 • $27,814 • $22,472 • $20,625 • $12,138 that’s over $155K across just 6 transactions

Congrats to Whop team! Gotta research their neobank launcher btw
Whop has raised $200M in Series D funding at a $5.1B valuation, backed by @sequoia and @shopify. It really feels like we are barely touching the tip of the iceberg in a market larger than anyone can imagine. We first launched Whop as a better way for us to sell sneaker bots, one of the most niche types of desktop software out there. Total TAM? Probably $20,000 per day. Who cares, tiny market. But, what people discounted is the idea that there were actually 70,000 other markets exactly like that one. Beyond the investment itself, I am especially excited to welcome legendary silicon valley investor @dougleone to our board of directors. Doug and the sequoia team are nothing but a brilliant, resourceful, and principled group of people. My co-founder Cameron and I started building on Shopify when we were 13 years old. Shopify is one of the most impactful all-in-one cloud ecosystems ever created; @tobi has pioneered modern entrepreneurship the way we know it and we are thrilled to have him in our corner. We have a tenet at Whop to be the dumbest in the room and I am very grateful that this has recently become a lot easier. We are focused on markets, scale economies, and progressive media. If that is up your alley, please message me directly. The $200M raised will support our expansion as we build economic infrastructure for the next century, continuing on our mission of delivering everyone an income.
