Prologue to my Hero's Journey:
I am a patient diagnosed with RA that was told by my rheumatologist that I'd be on a cocktail of meds for life, diet had nothing to do with my diagnosis, and there was nothing I could do to heal or improve from the disease.
Through several personal experiences and reading others, I learned that this is what doctors are taught and what patients are led to believe.
I am Ken, a nobody from Canada that thought he was too small to make a difference. My BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) is to eradicate chronic disease and mental illness, improving health outcomes and healthcare systems.
I've been at this a long time and have learned a thing or two along the way. If your trolls are monitoring every move, it's more likely that that you've been identified as a Change Maker and they have been assigned to discredit you.

I've been spending time on the wild west coast of Portugal.
What if a group of us did this together for a week? Surf, walk, eat properly, watch the sunrise, switch our body clocks back on.
Would you come?
Sun on your skin before 10am, sea water, real food cooked in butter, not seed oils.

Health Literacy: What Do Doctors Learn About Food In Medical School?

You can spend five years at medical school and come out knowing almost nothing about food.
That isn't me hating doctors. Most of them will tell you the same thing themselves. Nutrition gets a tiny slice of the training, and nobody teaches you how to change what a patient eats in a ten-minute appointment.
So think about what happens when you walk in tired, overweight, with creeping blood sugar and rising blood pressure.
You get a test. You get a number. You get a tablet.
Metformin for the blood sugar. Something for the blood pressure. Maybe a statin "while we're at it". An antacid for the heartburn. Antidepressants because you're exhausted and low.
Five prescriptions. And not one question about the cereal, the toast, the low-fat yoghurt, the "healthy" snack bars and the pasta bake you're eating every single day.
Then you're told it's "just your age". Or "it runs in the family".
What nobody tells you is that many of those numbers are signs of the same underlying problem: insulin resistance. And the cheapest test for it, fasting insulin, is almost never run on the NHS.
You can't fix what nobody measures. And you can't medicate your way out of a diet that's making you ill.
Before your next appointment, write down everything you ate yesterday. Take it with you. Ask for:
• Fasting insulin
• HbA1c
• Triglycerides and HDL
• hs-CRP
Then ask the question your GP might not: "Could my food be causing this?"
Share this with someone who's on three tablets and has never once been asked what's on their plate.

A bad sign for the future of the public health field. Ardern is a professional politician with no training or experience in medicine, nursing, or public health. She was one of most ruthless and remorseless covid tyrants. Hard to understand such a poor choice.

I don't want 50 employees who need me to answer every question.
I want 50 people who are continually developing the skills and judgment to deliver excellent patient care.
At James Clinic, we hire people who genuinely care. Then we invest in training them.
Every morning at 7:
Monday: Operations
Tuesday: Clinical education
Wednesday: Tumor board and complex cases
Thursday: Clinical education
Friday: Clinician meeting
This week we're discussing HBOT in cancer care. Last week included IV vitamin C.
The goal isn't to make everyone dependent on me.
It's to build a team capable of thinking, learning, and solving problems together.
That's how a medical practice scales without losing its culture.

There is a massive need for pediatricians who have an open mind and respect patients choice.
There are deserts where families are fired from Peds practices-and need a place to go!

Aaron Siri just revealed the staggering numbers behind the CDC’s spending on vaccines.
CDC spends $6 billion a year on “buying, promoting, and other vaccine advocacy.”
Meanwhile, the “vaccine safety” office gets only $20 million.
But it’s not even spent on vaccine safety.
“They seek to affirm that the prior practices are safe.”
“It does those ridiculous vaccine safety data link studies… that don’t seek to actually look for safety issues.”
“The individual who ran that [office] for forever… Dr. DeStefano, did he ever have any email communications with me?”
“With ICAN?”
“With CHD?”
“With any of the groups around this country actually concerned about vaccine safety?”
“No.”
“Who did he communicate with regularly though?”
“Pharma.”
“When we sent the Freedom of Information Act request to the CDC for his communications with Pharma, you know what we got back?”
“We got back massive redactions under a category that you redact when the government is creating policy.”
“So we sued in federal court.”
“I said, okay, I want to make sure I understand this.”
“The head of the Immunization Safety Office is making policy with the pharma companies they’re supposed to be regulating?”
“They lifted the redactions.”
“It shows an incredible cozy relationship that he had with the pharma companies.”

A Full-time job requires a full-time pay for quality research and analysis. In @MaryanneDemasi case she outputs higher quality than an entire bureau so the cost benefit justification is a no brainer.

I was 31 when they finally worked out what was wrong with me. Five days in hospital, two departments arguing over who I belonged to, and I was convinced it was my heart. It was my brain. Epilepsy. Around the same time, my thyroid decided to join the party with Graves’ disease, because apparently one wasn’t enough.
This was right when the wellness industry hit Australia hard. I had three little kids, not much money, and a lifelong love of anything spiritual, so I fell straight down the rabbit hole. Eat clean, think positive, raise your vibration. And underneath all of it, a quiet message I swallowed whole: if you’re sick, you did this. Somewhere in you is a wrong thought or a wrong food, and if you just find it, you’ll be well.
So I tried. Oh, I tried. I already ate well. My Spanish mum had cooked us a proper dinner every night of my life. I meditated. I believed. And I still had seizures.
The worst was at a spiritual workshop. I had several seizures, and a visiting teacher made me feel like I was doing it for attention. Like I’d failed at the spiritual game. I remember sitting there, shaky and foggy, feeling ashamed of my own brain.
It took me years to say this out loud: I didn’t cause it. How could I? Positive thinking helps me. Good food helps me. Love helps me most of all. But the human body is a living, breathing thing, and sometimes it breaks, no matter how good your vibes are. Even now I can do everything right, take my meds, sleep, eat well, walk every day, and my brain will still do what it does.
It’s called being human.
If you’re living in a body that won’t behave, hear me: you did not cause this, and you can’t think your way out of it. The bravest thing you’ll ever do is get up and live anyway, sick and imperfect and still worthy of every bit of love you’ve got.

I feel like I am seeing a common thread with the legal chemicals we have foisted upon ourselves. I believe it is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to harmful chemicals that are undermining our bodies’ ability to thrive.
Nine in ten American strawberries come from a few valleys in California where the soil is killed with a First World War gas before every planting, and the fields are visible from the road because they are wrapped in plastic to keep the gas in.
Chloropicrin was made for the trenches. It was a lung and eye agent, a vomiting gas, fired in shells to force men out of their masks. Now it is injected into the ground at Watsonville and Oxnard every year, under tarps that hold the fumes down for a week, and it does to the soil what it did to a trench: everything in it dies, the fungi, the bacteria, the worms, the insects, until the dirt is as sterile as a hospital tray. Then the strawberries go in, on raised beds of plastic, fed by drip line with everything a living soil would have given them, and the plastic and the gas go in again next year, because a dead soil has no defence against the one disease that gets through.
For forty years the gas was methyl bromide, which eats the ozone layer, and when the world banned it in 2005 California's strawberry growers got themselves an exemption and kept using it for another decade, the last major crop on earth to do so. Chloropicrin was the replacement, and the state's own pesticide regulator lists it among the commonest causes of farmworker poisoning in California. The men who apply it are mostly undocumented, the drift has emptied a school in Monterey County, and the strawberry has topped the list of the most pesticide-contaminated produce in America for most of the last decade.
Every year the industry calls it a heart-healthy antioxidant superfood, and every year the field it came from is gassed.
The cow in the pasture next door has never once needed the soil under her sterilised. The strawberry cannot be grown at that scale without it, and the war gas is the price of a punnet in January.

Vinay Prasad ran vaccines and biologics at the FDA until April. His verdict now: "Public health in this country is so broken."
The core problem is one-size-fits-all medicine. An 80-year-old who has never had COVID and a healthy 7-year-old who already had it are not the same patient. Yet they got the same recommendation, the same shots, and the same boosters.
In real world, that's malpractice. In public health, it was policy.
Medicine works when a doctor looks at the person in front of them: their age, their health, their history, their wishes. That's informed consent. Mandates erased it. Trust won't come back until public health admits what it got wrong.
"Fauci was wrong about almost every single pandemic policy he advanced," the former FDA insider tells Reason.
