At my internship site the pastor and her wife so deftly protected a sexual predator within the parish after they were approached by Victim A, that by the time he went to court the list went at least to Victim H. Both remain on the roster. Kyrie eleison.

It is not anti vaccine to point out that not all viruses nor all vaccines have exactly the same outcomes. It is wildly pro-vaccine to point out the real shortcomings of *specific* vaccines. For one, it takes steam from antivaxxers who point out breakthru cases and go “LOOK!”

Mutual aid, community gardens, libraries, community fridges, etc are ESSENTIAL too
It’s basic somatic theory
People need safety, they need places & people to regulate with, etc
Who else is giving out food & supplies for free consistently?
People can’t eat theory

And this is why I’m struggling finding a political home
Too many don’t care about immediate material needs, won’t mask, & are too focused on teaching theory & protesting
Theory is so important, but people can’t focus & learn if their survival needs aren’t being accounted for

I am absolutely desperately BEGGING leftists to realize that “my uncle chose egg prices over abortion rights” is the same as “my comrade chose convenience over disability solidarity” and course correct. How isn’t this getting through like be honest

In super hopeful news for folks who need it today: we offered to host family Christmas this year, knowing that would give us most control over Covid precautions, and the sin-laws (who host thanksgiving) asked us to advise on how to make turkey day equally accessible 😭😭💚💚

BREAKING: Leftist tells disabled person it's okay to stay home, is benevolent about it
Replying to @mdashaldebaran
But again, if you are that concerned about it you can stay home and support in other ways. I mean that genuinely. So you've discovered you cant do certain things other people do? Welcome to the world of every physically disabled person ever. Not sure what to tell you.

You absolutely do not need to hand it to Dean Phillips.

I wnat to point out what this is: these people stopped masking and them worked backwards to decide when it wasn't necessary is when they stopped, because they desperately want to believe they are somehow different from the people they rightfully called out earlier in the pandemic

The nice thing about the church building being in a (temporary) state of underuse is that I can have my lunch indoors in a part of the church where: 1) I know for a fact no one has been breathing in >24 hours and 2) no one can hear me yell FUUUUUCK while I listen to @democracynow

We're not "playing covid."
You're playing back-to-normal. Which is entirely unsustainable.
I know grief. It's devastating. But you can't keep running from it. Not when your denial affects us all.
