MacBooks are getting touchscreens not because MacBooks *need* them or because anyone will *use* them, it’s because Apple kind of disrupted themselves with interaction design and anyone under 20 expects every screen to be interactable.
All Roubini has to do is to have the courage to admit he was wrong about bitcoin. Instead of going down in history as a moron, he'll instantly redeem himself. Alas, hubris has a longer half-life than humility.
This is a knee-jerk reaction that ignores the utter insignificance of the added touch support. It's not added as a game changer, it's a why-not that hurts NOBODY and makes the mac look a bit less braindead. It's fine. There aren't even any notable macOS UI changes.
The correct strategy IMO is to have the property reevaluated, then increase the mortgage to the new maximum, and borrow the full amount (hundreds of thousands) and buy bitcoin with that. Pay the interest. Explained in the book "The Strategy" by G. Turner.
Unfortunately there is no second best. Give the new CEO some time maybe. I'm still angry at the $300 USD Apple TV.
I’ve been an Apple fanboy for over 20 years. Bought the first iPhone, iPad, iPods, etc.
I am thoroughly unimpressed with their most recent products. No interest in a foldable phone, touchscreen Mac, or a slight bump in performance for the iPhone.
Steve Jobs knew that specs don’t sell new products. Solving people’s problems does.
Between these very bad products and their general lack of AI support it may be time to move on. To what is the question.
The latest FSD seems to have stopped turning right on red lights when the sign says not to. #Quebec
Wow, Apple unveiled a MacBook Pro with touch capabilities but no major UI changes for it. My interpretation: "We gave you touch. Use it if you want, it's there if you need it, but it's nothing special. Now everyone can shut up about touch on Macs and move on." cc: @stevesi
Just Grok it FFS. Grok: "They removed radar in 2021 because the neural nets are trained on massive real-world data that includes rain, snow, fog, spray, and glare. It detects obstructions, clears cameras with heaters and washers, and drives more cautiously when visibility drops."

Hmm. I would love to him to explain how Robotaxi/FSD is able to operate in rain, fog, drive through puddles etc. without using radar.
My favorite book of the year is Bitcoin One Million. The final chapter was the cherry on top, and to bitcoiners paying attention, Donald Trump had once said the quiet part out loud. The russian Anton Kobyakov caught on and advised the Kremlin strategically.

Tesla’s Optimus training regime leak.
Workers in its Palo Alto R&D facility have been holding “robot university” for many months already. Press got it wrong when they said it just started up.
Workers are wearing 24 lb suits with up to 40 cameras and grids of 3D sensors. To capture very detailed video and 3D fields of whatever the worker does.
There are multiple configurations.
They are given different tasks to do. They don’t know where the tasks come from.
Multiple squads are working on three shifts 24 hours a day. Similar efforts were seen at the Texas factory.
The data collection effort is immense.
A Tesla car only has nine cameras.
This leads to a data flywheel that is orders of magnitude more data than the car captured.
Separate teams are capturing home data, like making a sandwich, while other teams capture jobs on factory floor, like installing HVAC systems in cars.
Elon isn’t playing around.
I can’t tell you how I learned this.

Someone explain to me why I need a Yubikey and not just any 2FA app on my iPhone. I'll wait.
It's coming to a point with hackers using ai that if you don't have a @Yubico Yubikey you WILL be hacked. This physical key 2FA is impossible to hack.
Even if the hacker has your password, impossible, even if the hacker hacks into your phone, THEY NEED THE YUBIKEY.
Joke aside, I'd love to hear what the "settled" science is on economics. Let me guess... the Keynesian junk taught in universities?

I completely forgot about making this web site until I finally got some charge for running it. capitalism-socialism.com/
Will keep it since it's the same server as bitcoin-fiat.com
You think he's kidding, but you haven't been paying attention.

How about the robot is looking down while assembling a Swiss watch with one hand and then, without looking up, catches an oblique 100mph baseball with the other hand?
I also like the idea of juggling chainsaws on fire while riding a unicycle.
When @realDonaldTrump was elected for his first term, innumerable people including most of my academic colleagues said that the worst realities would befall the United States. None of those things happened. They then said that he would wait until his second term to end democracy, institute martial law, etc. None of those things have happened. Is there a SINGLE honest individual amongst those people who is willing to admit that they were grossly incorrect and hence irrationally unhinged?
