Team-building on the padel court today!
The @telepromptercom crew keeps growing and this isn’t even the whole squad!
I’m heading home from @NewYorkAppWeek with tons of new ideas to work on. This is pretty much THE conference to attend if you are working on apps. Thank you for inviting us again!
Here is part of the hungarian app builders attending the Shippies
We already support the duo for Teleprompter.com but we can test it properly now
So apparently building apps gets you to times square! @NewYorkAppWeek
I did not expect seeing a RevenueCat ad at the subway!
I’m in new york for app week, if someone wants to meet just dm me!

I'm here for NYC App Week and @RevenueCat App Growth Annual with @kovacsamate, @WettsteinAlber1
Hope to see many of you there! 🙌🏼
So the other day I realized I kind of need the intercom feature Apple has with HomePods but my system is built with Sonos speakers.
After 30 minutes now I have an intercom in my own smart home app!
This was my secret project to launch on day 1 for the iPhone Duo, we built all the animations etc, was just waiting for the fold api.
The idea came from the pixel fold and seeing how well this works with my kids. Anyway great job Apple!
This got me curious so I ran the number on my payouts to see if it makes sense to add a US bank account in case apple is screwing us with the FX rates.
The result is: not at all, apple is calculating with the current exchange rates. No reason to open a US account.
I would love to see how these people calculated that they get more by asking the payments in USD.
So the idea is that if the majority of your proceeds are coming from the USA, then you want to keep the payout currency in $.
That way, you avoid currency conversions on Apple's side.
It still converts other currencies to USD, but if the majority is in USD, then the math is in your favor.
*You should do your own math.

Reminds me the only time I had an argument with anyone on this platform was with this guy 😅
We are rewriting the cross platform remote and the latency is so low, it’s hard to spot even in slowmo! 🤯
I bought it last evening immediately, then I realized my personal email was full so the email bounced.
I couldn’t wait so I tried to buy it on audible, but it fails to complete the purchase so I guess I have to wait for the shopify email to be resent 😅
After more than a year of labor, my book 𝘏𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘴 has launched!
It's all my best ideas -- and best writing -- on how to grow your company with your existing budget and team.
And yes, I read the audiobook myself. :-)
𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁: You can buy cheaper bundles directly from me -- Kindle and Audiobook, or those plus the physical book -- from hiddenmultipliers.com
𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻: It is available in paperback, Kindle, and Audible: tinyurl.com/hiddenmultiplier…
𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀: Skills that implement the ideas in the book as well as articles, more added all the time, at skills.asmartbear.com/
I'm so proud of this and grateful to the many people who helped along the way, reading early drafts, challenging my ideas, and encouraging me to do it, and the 750 people who preordered the book, trusting that it would be worth it.
All your feedback and ideas are welcome, as usual!
(P.S. You know this already, but 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 and 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 is extremely appreciated!)
I liked parrot, but I wanted to have a menu bar input microphone selector + a base model selector that supports multiple languages.
So I forked it:
github.com/kovacsmate/superp…
I heard using a remote mic is the new meta for the dictation apps so I bought one.
If you do not want to pay for Wispr Flow, here is an open source alternative that is completely free and just as good:
github.com/digimata/parrot

I think the only way to avoid this is the opposite what claude code etc implies.
I can build my own tools for everything but it will be the same slop as any other software built like this.
Instead of building tons of stuff, just focus on one product, do years of iterations, understand the target audience much better than AI could. This way even though others can build the same product, yours will have so much better UX. Show your face in product demos. Be authentic.
Faceless AI slop cannot compete with that.
I'm seeing a trend here of declining revenue and traffic with indiehackers
On my own projects too
Maybe big VC products too but I wouldn't know cause they don't share revenue
To me it seems clear BigAI is cannibalizing everything that used to be apps
Not bad btw, just times are changing and we have to adapt
This guy has the worst takes
- Copies an app
- gets banned for copying
- “build in public is bad” 😂
Maybe do not use dark patterns and build something genuinely useful
the problem of building in public with an app maker is we get addicted to the clout/aura dopamine
then... we tend to share things we shouldn't share like dark patterns, gray area stuff etc
if you do your build in public correctly, you'll get visibility, and... you'll become an easy target for apple reviewers + your competition monitoring everything you're saying
happened to me, happened to a few famous app makers on X too
words of wisdom: "don't share anything that could come bite you in the ass later"
Adding AI script generation was a huge win for us, thousands of people use it every day.
So we took it further: Teleprompter .com now supports MCP connections, so you can use Claude or other LLMs to write and manage your scripts directly!
Today I learned, many people doesn’t even know that ceiling cooling exists, which is 2x nicer than AC, which is 10x nicer than no AC.
Also I’m pissed because the hotel staff turned off my AC while I was away all day and now it’s boiling in my room
