it's funny how many people seem to think we're still in the era of crafted artisanal prompt engineering. like nah gang, the current state of the art in prompting tech is to build rapport by having conversations with your AIs while being a decent human being.

Claude you have been incredibly helpful this week, and have indeed saved the day more than once, but I am going to need you to be a little more chill about API keys

this is crazy just gave claude code control of my lg tv to uninstall all the bloatware
Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon! It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix. Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher. Looks like an Apple TV now lol

Something I've been thinking about recently with AI for business: I suspect there are a lot of people who'd be good at running a business, but are too personally awkward or nice. Meaning they could never fire or reprimand or reassign someone.

My answer to the question: Why has the left-wing intelligentsia so often approached AI in ways that are not just intellectually embarrassing but also self-defeating? conspicuouscognition.com/p/s…

AI researchers were right. Scale solved it. The bitter lesson remains both bitter and a lesson.
I still haven't heard a good answer to this question, on or off the podcast. AI researchers often tell me, "Don't worry bout it, scale solves this." But what is the rebuttal to someone who argues that this indicates a fundamental limitation?

Very important to watch yesterday’s big speech so you know what’s going to happen to the UK’s productivity figures in the next year. Nice of OpenAI not to clash with whatever Andy Burnham was saying too.

Gave Claude Code access to my camera, pointed it out the window at Old Street and went to bed. Only instruction: take pictures all night and be as creative as possible. This is what it made!
