DYK that cows can chew over 20,000 times/day? A lot of this chewing action is “remastication” - chewing regurgitated food, known as a bolus or cud. It reduces particle size for the microbes & means more saliva produced as a buffer (40 gals/d!) Thanks for the demo Tica. #cowfacts
