新しい土地や文化を丁寧に描こうとした結果、物語の進行が遅くなり、先へ進みたいプレイヤーの気持ちとかみ合わなかったという。
次期拡張『白銀のワンダラー』では、文化や生活の描写をできるだけサイドクエストに回し、後からじっくり楽しめる形にする方針だ。

Unless people don't know...
FATE'S in FFXIV sync you down.
They sync both your level AND your gear down.
So having Bis is POINTLESS for FATES cause your ilvl 790 gear is getting synced down.
Materia's don't get added to synced-down gear.
So having bis does not speed up FATES.
