Hi football community. I need your help!
I’m in the process of working on my thesis (valuing movement off the ball and space generation to predict goal probability in football) and really need season’s worth tracking data.
I’ve tried everything. Any help appreciated.

A ton of exciting soccer analytics content has been published in 2021. My latest blog post lists the research papers, blog posts, news articles, webinars and podcasts that I liked the most!

Using @StatsBomb's 360 data for Portugal vs Germany at the Euro, I plotted every pass made to Gosens in the final third. Yet another way of seeing the shocking amount of space given to him.
And yes, I'm still having nightmares about that match...

I did this over the summer but
everyone wants to talk about Dune now, I’ll do it again.
Dune is Xavi. Undeniably legendary, but the people who are REALLY into it, they’re kind of a bit much.
Request line is open for more Sci Fi/Fantasy comparisons with players if you want.
Corner kick lovers should be watching Besiktas vs Sporting. 3 goals from corners so far, with good routines from Sporting mixed with atrocious defending from both teams.

One of the more interesting parts of BVB’s diamond shape has been the positioning of Meunier and Guerreiro, who are positioned high and wide, even if the ball is on the opposite side of the field.
Traditionally, you’d probably tuck into the midfield and move wider as the ball..
22 seconds of moving the ball in the midfield awaiting for an opening, then 4 touches in 5 seconds to score: Dahoud's great pass to Meunier, Meunier's one touch assist, Bellingham's reception and shot. What a play! #Dortmund #ChampionsLeague

This was AC Milan's first goal in their return to the #ChampionsLeague: a great play featuring Brahim Diaz, Saelemaekers, Rafael Leão and finally Ante Rebic. #ACMilan #Liverpool

If you needed more evidence how the absence of Matip and Dijk hurt Liverpool's attack last year, here it is: Liverpool's first vs. Leeds, beautiful combination between Matip, Salah and Trent. #Liverpool #PremierLeague
