Barely on Twitter anymore cause so many of the people I really enjoyed have left. Now they’re pushing out half of the decent accounts left 😭

Latest version of @Instacart app keeps erroring when I try to order. No idea if they actually made (badly needed) UX improvements or just overhauled the UI, but it’s a moot point if I can’t even place an order.

Rep. Justin Pearson: "No one should be wanting to operate as though this is not happening, as though we are not living in a gun violence epidemic in the state of Tennessee. And the solution that is being offered is actually to reduce the First Amendment rights of people."

In a democracy, if not enough people vote for you, you figure out a way to win more voters. The opposite of democracy is instead trying to ensure fewer people who don't support you vote.

G Suite's been making some real interesting design choices lately. All the side eye.

This is all incredibly awful.
Story of police killing a little girl's goat is really sticking with me. As such, I read the actual lawsuit. If anything, some of the details therein make it even worse. If there is any justice, their needs to be a large punitive judgment in this case. Details follow. 🧵

For the record, public urination shouldn’t be a crime. For the cost of arresting, prosecuting, & jailing people for peeing in public, we could afford cleaner & more available public restroom options. Also: You can’t deter needing to go with the threat of punishment.

Because why would we fund inexpensive community centers of learning and culture.
Missouri House Republicans have voted to defund the state's public libraries. A budget bill that would end state library funding will soon head to the Senate. If approved, libraries in rural areas, which rely more on state funds, will likely be forced to close, librarians say.

While many online firebrands rant and rave against the concept, few take the time to define it. The Onion asked conservatives what “woke” means to them, and this is what they said. bit.ly/40nGwbI

These tragedies are a result of *policy choices* made by ppl in power - here, from decisions about immigration law and policy, down to decisions about detention facility infrastructure, public health and safety, and poverty perpetuation. None of this is inevitable. It is chosen.
40 migrants just died in a fire in a Mexican Detention Facility, a few feet from US border. They had been swept up from the streets of Ciudad Juárez for allegedly requesting spare change. They were denied water and protested the inhumane conditions which ended in this tragedy.
