🚨 José Mourinho: "I told Camavinga that Tchouaméni will stay low and protect the defense, and you will attack SPACE. It's difficult for any attackers to attack space against Barcelona, the only solution is to do it with your MIDFIELDERS. When your attackers do it, Barca's defense is prepared and coached for that, and your attackers end up being offside, or the pass ends up being cut by Joan Garcia. The solution is to use midfielders like Camavinga and Bellingham to break that line, and it worked."

This was the last thing I expected when we got Xabi Alonso through the door. Why do we continuously treat the ball like it’s a bomb?

Just because you paid money to see the players doesn’t entitle you to treat them this way. Booing them is fine but Colwill can’t win here. People complain when players don’t clap fans but then complain when they do. What do you actually want?

I’ll never understand why people think Kane should win it. What did his goals ultimately amount to? He wasn’t there for England against Norway or Argentina. People will then say “oh but he did so well in the UCL.” Nice so he deserves the award because he scored a pen and a goal in the last minute of the tie when the game was already over against PSG.
The Ballon d‘Or has a huge problem. And it’s so easy to fix.

I’m genuinely curious what was Xabi like at Madrid and Leverkusen? I’m not going to pretend like I watched them that much because I didn’t. I watched one game at Leverkusen and they lost it 3-0 lol. My understanding was that we were going to control games but under him so far we’ve treated the ball like a bomb. He obviously needs time but I saw the idea from day 1 under Maresca in pre-season when we got battered by Celtic. I’m still not sure what I’m meant to be seeing so far.

I will repeat. This football club never should’ve sold Nicolas Jackson. “He never wanted to be a backup.” I don’t care. He had a 7 year contract, we have all the control. Could’ve played in the twin 10s aswell. It’s clear Xabi doesn’t trust Welbeck seeing as he didn’t start today and we saw Rogers in the 9 against Brentford.

Letting him go for 60 and signing gittens for 60 the summer prior is frying me. This club just doesn’t prepare for what problems may arise throughout a season. They’ll never learn.

Two goals from Nicolas Jackson give Aston Villa a 2-1 win against Manchester City. Unai Emery's side are now unbeaten in their last four Premier League home games against sides starting the day at the top of the table. City have also now lost three in a row against Villa, having last done so between August 1962 and September 1966. 🔗 nyti.ms/4zRWrjO
