I moved all 3 of my apps to Duo layout with one prompt. They are small, ranging from 1-4 screens. So I imagine the average mobile app will have to do 10 prompts instead of 1. I don’t understand why anyone is talking about this. It will be the fastest platform shift of all time.

Unappreciated and important: iPhone Duo having a 4:3 aspect ratio is going to make it the best device for watching Star Trek: The Next Generation and Babylon 5 in decades.

ā€œSocialismā€ might be artificially polling higher because people either 1) think it means taxes and government services exist, 2) it is equivalent to unobjectionable but meaningless slogans like ā€œpeople over profitsā€, or 3) it means rich people will be buying them Dior bags.
WARNING: You will lose IQ points if you watch this. These are the economically illiterate rubes who Mamdani has hoodwinked and are pushing socialism. "I'm a Dior bag socialist" and she says there's enough wealth in this country where nobody should have to live in poverty, but it's being hoarded by 10 guys. The combined wealth of the 10 richest guys in America is $3 trillion...now keep in mind, kids, they don't have that in cash. That's the combined value of all their businesses. If you were to seize 100% of all their assets, you'd have to compel the sale of all of their stock and their entire businesses. You wouldn't eve be able to get the full $3T because the forced sale of their stock and businesses would crash the entire market and you would only get pennies on the dollar. Not only that, by seizing the means of production, you've now decimated businesses that employ 2 million people...these are taxpayers. Those businesses generate wealth and tax revenue, every year, in perpetuity...if you wipe them out, you collapse the entire economy and all the tax revenue required to fund all your social services. But even in this imaginary Mamdani world, if you were to somehow seize $3T, that might sound like a lot, but that would only fund government for 5 months. That's it. Then it's gone forever, and all the annual wealth and revenue that their businesses create would be gone, causing a cascading collapse of tax revenue that would make the entire government go belly up. Even if you were to distribute that $3T as direct cash payments to every American, you know how much that would give you? $8,900. That's it. 4 months rent, at the expense of wiping out the entire American economy. When I tell you these communists are stupid...I mean, they are dangerously stupid. They are truly like children; they fundamentally lack any understanding of how things work, so they can LARP as adults in this fantasyland of free everything. And listen to what she says at the end...it perfectly sums up everything wrong with these socialists: "I'm not a political scientist, so if that's wrong, I don't care" I can't stand these people. They are going to destroy our civilization.

This is a truly wild story, and it seems to only be getting coverage in right wing media, but it is in fact true. The DA of Philadelphia, Larry Krasner, long held up as a leading figure in leftist ā€œCriminal Justice Reformā€ is facing federal charges of perjury and obstruction.

He is accused of pressuring his attorneys to lie to a judge and threatening them if they would not, in an attempt to overturn a murder conviction. Krasner’s CJR movement holds that the real injustice is putting criminals in prison. We see how far he was willing to go for this.

The billionaire tax is best viewed as a government program to spend $9B in order to get a few people the socialists don’t like to move. Unless it fails, in which case the program will be overbudget and cost $39B instead. Nobody has yet proposed how we will pay for this program.
California's Billionaire Tax Act would collect roughly $30 billion. Accounting for lost income taxes from departures, the mean Net Present Value is negative $39 billion, from Benjamin Jaros and Joshua Rauh nber.org/papers/w35899

A former WIRED writer once told me, in defending my charge that the tech press is pessimistic, that it’s true but it’s because when they were optimistic, they accidentally created Theranos and they don’t want to repeat the mistake. Can’t tell you how often I think about this.

Honestly I felt a little bit bad trolling the shit out of these people online because I thought there’s a chance they’re just dumb kids, but now I feel totally vindicated.
Surprise: An anti-Waymo astroturf group sounds like it is quite obviously a front for Uber, with whom it shares "public affairs" consultants in New York and Pennsylvania. washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/…

Andy Kaufman walked so Nathan Fielder could run.
Nathan Fielder says critics don’t understand acting after The New York Times calls him a ā€œlimited stiff actor.ā€ 🤣 ā€œThey don’t seem to get that when they call me ā€˜limited range’ and ā€˜stiff,’ that’s the character. They don’t get that I’m playing a stiff, nerdy guy, which is very different than the real me.ā€ ā€œIn real life, I’m very relaxed.ā€ 😭

I would vote for this person in D8 in a heartbeat. I’d put up signs and knock on doors for him.
JUST IN: Canadian man wins city council election after telling voters he has no idea what he's doing, doesn't enjoy politics, & is unqualified for office.

The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.
