Post training has been an active focus area as we think about model sovereignty and optimization across the AI stack.
It’s been awesome working with @appliedcompute and seeing the exceptional shipping velocity, technical expertise, and talent density.
Congrats to the team!
Applied Compute update:
- crossed $100M annualized revenue run rate up from zero 18 months ago
- raised $350M at $3.25B led by Elad Gil
- 40% of customers use AC for both custom model training + production inference
- inference serving 1T tokens a day after launching 12 weeks ago
- 2X enterprise customers since last raise
- 3X team since January, 85% are researchers and engineers
- Working with customers like Microsoft, Shopify, Harvey, DoorDash, Cognition, Clay, Decagon and others
To move even faster we need people who are extremely technical AND extremely practical. If this is you, please reach out.
Let’s go! 🚀🚀
Whop has raised $200M in Series D funding at a $5.1B valuation, backed by @sequoia and @shopify.
It really feels like we are barely touching the tip of the iceberg in a market larger than anyone can imagine.
We first launched Whop as a better way for us to sell sneaker bots, one of the most niche types of desktop software out there.
Total TAM? Probably $20,000 per day.
Who cares, tiny market.
But, what people discounted is the idea that there were actually 70,000 other markets exactly like that one.
Beyond the investment itself, I am especially excited to welcome legendary silicon valley investor @dougleone to our board of directors. Doug and the sequoia team are nothing but a brilliant, resourceful, and principled group of people.
My co-founder Cameron and I started building on Shopify when we were 13 years old. Shopify is one of the most impactful all-in-one cloud ecosystems ever created; @tobi has pioneered modern entrepreneurship the way we know it and we are thrilled to have him in our corner.
We have a tenet at Whop to be the dumbest in the room and I am very grateful that this has recently become a lot easier.
We are focused on markets, scale economies, and progressive media. If that is up your alley, please message me directly.
The $200M raised will support our expansion as we build economic infrastructure for the next century, continuing on our mission of delivering everyone an income.

Thoughts after day 1:
- Shopify is the closest I’ve ever seen a big company build like a startup
- everyone there actually cares about what they do
- i aspire for an office this nice one day

I sat down with @FAL co-founders @burkaygur + @isidentical to talk infra as a moat, AI video’s ChatGPT moment, and what’s powering the next wave of generative media.
Some key takeaways from the episode (link in comment):
There is no king of the hill in generative AI.
Sora looked untouchable. Then Luma, Runway, and MiniMax dropped.
Veo 3 launched. Two weeks later, Seedance leapfrogged it.
"If you’re not the best, you’re not releasing."
@burkaygur and @isidentical from @FAL break down what it’s like tracking the frontlines in real time.
The leaderboard resets every week. It’s live combat.
🥳 Thrilled to welcome @FAL to @Shopify ventures!
The future of digital experiences will be multimodal, tailored, and magical ✨Fal is building the backbone to bring this to life
Huge congrats to @burkaygur @gorkem @isidentical and the entire team 🚀
