It is absolutely not a sexual fantasy. she’s established as a character that is completely removed from sexuality AND binary. It’s sexual for LESTAT who cannot separate mother figure from Gabrielle the individual. That’s not his fault but it also shouldn’t water gabrielle down.

adapting gabi’s grooming as explicitly rape was not the issue this season, ONLY depicting her rape & completely leaving out armand’s was. his rape is what’s paralleled to magnus’s. that doesn’t mean gabi didn’t incestuously groom her son in the books.
