Anyone claiming 2028 isn't in the cards for the GOP is an idiot. The second the DNC puts its policy agenda on the table, the GOP will become a viable option again.

Everything Herodotus wrote was 100% true. He might be the only reliable ancient historian.
He recorded that Scythians would place hemp seeds upon hot rocks, inhale the smoke, and howl like wolves

It will eventually come out how Levin has had massive influence on the current presidency. This is neither to antagonize nor defend anyone, but it cannot be denied that his influence has been disastrous for all involved.

The guy you are quoting ended up correct regardless of precise gas prices.“You can just do things” …actions have no consequences! Now many are pretending they weren’t for this war and didn’t smear its opponents as “third worldists”
Here’s Trump actions before this election…

The pretense that Charlie Kirk was an especially important Thought Leader has had highly corrupting effects on discourse. Whatever his other functions nobody logged on to see what he had to say. His death and the subsequent apotheosis of his wife made it sound like it was a test of loyalty to broadcast political messages and that the purpose of this place was as PR for some type of party line broadcast or to provide “support” (seal claps) for political actors.
Even before that, Elon banned many smart posters and chased others away to turn this place into a propaganda radio station for his favored political positions
But idea Charlie Kirk was “influential” has in other words helped turn this place into a suffocating politicsball Messaging System. It isn’t the purpose of online X or anons to do this. The ONLY edge this place had was to have readers make sense of events and life in a way no one else could…thus insight, humor and some rigor in facts and science was the only reason we got attention in 2015-6. The reduction to Serious Business political broadcasting and “support” makes it superfluous…
This should have been a much bigger fight, it all happened so quietly instead
Very few things really matter.
So don't lose focus of those, and don't needlessly complicate your life with "productivity."

This isn't true. The tariffs caused a drop in his support but Iran was the proximate cause. More importantly, the tariffs were an extension of foreign policy and not advanced with any sincerity.
They were used as a foreign policy cudgel and to shake out business bankruptcies across a longer time horizon, to attenuate the harmful economic effects of the planned war.
This observation is buttressed by the fact that the original Graham bill that would've *mandated* tariffs as high as 500% on countries doing business with Russia (China) passed the Senate with the support of more than 80% of sitting Senators. That means Reaganite stool respectors and Democrats strongly supported catastrophic tariffs as a foreign policy tool.
Also recall that Trump was forced to disgorge collected tariffs back to American businesses: a kaldor-hicks efficient move that fulfilled the "free market" leg of the Reaganite stool.
Don't let Reaganites conceal the failure of their ideology by diluting responsibility across voter concerns like the economy and gas prices. This election was directly caused by the "National Security" leg of the Reaganite stool.
Many completely understood what subvert or appropriate enemy messaging means.
It works when they portray you as “actually coolest thing ever” by showing their bad valuations ; not when they portray you as ugly and deformed.
Thought people were smarter than this
Trump can at least keep 2028 away from SocDems if he designates his own successor de facto & empowers him to physically go into arena to end the war and meet Iranians
Pick one and send him. Ideally Trump should have been the one but it’s too late now and wouldn’t benefit future
The National Assembly destroyed the government's budget with amendments after endless week of debates, and has now unanimously rejected the text with 0 votes in favor.
Now, the good news of this is as I've mentioned that things will likely begin to look very interesting in the period surrounding 2037 when the pensions will start to blow up and the Leftists will (I expect) be in charge.
Then, we may see lions again.
Indeed, I think Mélenchon tactic in France will pay off after giving initial run to populist right wingers running on anti-youth pro-boomer platforms to win & obtain power to... manage the collapse of the welfare state.
Centrists will open the door, and young will flock in mass.
Hence, besides some law and order shenanigans there will be little impact and voters will quickly grow bored of this whole thing when faced with a steadily decaying living standard.
Similarly to what happened here, I expect this to create a huge shift for the Left.
Solving immigration is simply not enough and will end up dead end for populist right.
In France, there's a possibility the RN might obtain mandate precisely for this. Except our circumstances will force them into financial deadlock and deeply unpopular measures to face this.
Besides a quite extensive list of impact on overall culture etc, we should find Trump as a consequential historical character just for this reason.
However, there is also a very important lesson for us across the board especially in Europe regarding this immigration issue.
When I saw Trump come down elevator, the immigration discours was confined to online spaces and it was not polite conversation anywhere let alone political program.
Trump single handedly made immigration a solved topic in terms of political discourse, across the world.
