Widely respected former BBC Home Affairs Correspondent, Danny Shaw, says that there now needs to be an independent inquiry into anti-semitism at the BBC. @afneil @DPJHodges @JuliaHB1
Pains me to say it, but there needs to be an independent inquiry into anti-semitism at the BBC. Lucie Kon's allegations - some of which are set out in this @TimesRadio interview - are so serious they can't be brushed aside. Over to you @lisanandy.

How far is the "distance" ? Are they resigning from the Party, or merely calling for Polanski to either commit to a clear out or go himself ?

During the January 6th attack on the nation's Capitol, Daniel Rodriguez drove a stun gun into the neck of Officer Mike Fanone. He was knocked unconscious, had a heart attack and suffered a traumatic brain injury. It ended his career.
Rodriguez got over 12 years in prison for his assault on police. On day one, Donald Trump gave him a "full, complete and unconditional pardon" and sent him home.
This is far and away the most corrupt White House in American history.
I have not yet seen any comment from @EdwardJDavey or @anna4fes about the appalling anti semitism from the BBC for which @imluciekon has been given £400k damages

A hateful man stormed into a Jewish wedding in Liverpool and began hurling antisemitic insults at the guests, terrifying people at the gathering
His lawyer, in defending him, said a mitigating factor was that his client is Irish and has suffered discrimination
What in the world is this line of reasoning?

The grass field that these two pillocks just "saved" was an old, overgrown rugby pitch next to the site where Bath RFC Juniors train.
It's been left to rot for years. A Lidl would have brought discounted groceries to thousands of hard-up families.
These people are sick.

The “experts” commissioned by the UN conveniently left out of their report how 7 Arab states attacked Israel, starting the 1948 war.
I’m sure the rest of their report accusing Israel of genocide when a ceasefire is in place it totally reliable though 🤷♂️

Oscar-winning ex-BBC producer Lucie Kon reveals horrific antisemitic treatment. Right after October 7 a BBC colleague said “Zionists are evil” and if she wanted to call the massacre an act of terror then Israel must be labelled a ‘terror State’. This is still going on. Shameful.

The BBC has agreed to pay £400,000 to an award-winning Jewish documentary-maker who alleged she was subjected to antisemitism and pushed out of the corporation after October 7.
Lucie Kon, 57, spent 22 years at the BBC and worked on programmes including Panorama, Today, BBC Breakfast and Storyville. Films she commissioned or helped produce won an Oscar, Emmy and Bafta.
Kon says her treatment changed dramatically after the Hamas attacks. She alleges colleagues described Zionists like her as “evil”, argued that Israel should be called terrorist if Hamas was, and told her to consider what had driven Hamas to carry out the massacre.
When she proposed a documentary about October 7, Kon says she was told she was “too partial” to oversee it because she was Jewish.
She subsequently filed a formal grievance, but a BBC investigation rejected her complaint. Kon says she was then kept away from work for months. During a restructuring, her position was made redundant and she failed to secure the similar role replacing it.
She launched unfair-dismissal proceedings.
The BBC has now agreed substantial compensation, reported as £400,000, without admitting liability or accepting that Kon suffered antisemitism.
Kon says Jewish employees still at the corporation continue to face hostility and feel unable to identify openly as Jewish or Zionist.

And here we see our problem
Lidl want to create jobs, an average size Lidl employees 50 people.
All form local area, normally younger people too.
Lidl is also very affordable.
So in time of a NEET youth crisis and cost of living issues, we have entitled middle aged NIMBYs celebrating rejecting planning.
If you view this post as a good thing, you’re part of the problem.
We need to build, grow our economy and support families.
