The Tories intend to ruin the country in every sense: financially, environmentally, literally institution by institution to ensure they continue to financially profit. They’re willing to change laws to try and prevent us stopping them.
Join a union. Join a picket. Fight back.

We need to have a proper conversation about face-coverings because so far in 2022, not nearly enough people are wearing them in the library.
Please wear yours: if lots of our staff have to isolate, we won't have enough people to keep the building open.
🧵
ALT If you want the library to stay open, you need to wear a face-covering unless exempt. If you forget yours, ask us for a spare.

We'd love your views on the current system of all our main library study spaces being bookable.
Do you like this, do you dislike it? Would you prefer a mixture of bookable and non-bookable?

The amount of layers involved in getting something like this up and running... The face-to-face part is incredibly complicated but so is the software side.
So many people have worked so hard on this.
Excited beyond all measure (and possibly rationality) to hear that we've just completed our first click & collect at @UoYLibrary . It's been an intense, brain-melting slog to get to this point, but this makes the team's hard work worthwhile. Happy students = happy us!

I am speechless. Instead of insight, I make a simple offer of friendship and comfort and calm, especially to my many colleagues and friends and family from around the world who pay us the highest honour by making their homes here.
