90% библиотек в мире фронтенда пишутся потому, что автор не осилил уже существующие решения.
Chrome has been doing it from the day one. This is how they killed Opera and eventually IE (presenting Chrome-only APIs as upcoming standards and forcing adoption).
And when Apple engineers called them out on it they forked WebKit instead.

It's really sad that Chrome laid off one of the world's best CSS developer-designers, and now they have to fake demos of web features. youtu.be/d8J0vs-bEPE?si=l7YP…

It’s interesting how half of EV car bugs that @jasonfenske13 described in his video are general bluetooth shenanigans. I was nodding along “yep, that’s bluetooth for ya”
I only use wired headphones for a reason.

Starting this year, the winner of the annual Speed Chess Championship will be awarded the Naroditsky Cup.
The cup will have the winners of previous years engraved on it and become the permanent trophy of the SCC.

Never been as sad about the passing of a person I have never met or communicated with. I am and always will be inspired by Daniel Naroditsky in many ways.

Temporal is an absolutely massive spec and complicated implementation - it's been YEARS in the making.

Can’t reply, but @nestframework is the one for backend.
Everything is glued together via DI, CLI tools generate files (and test stubs), ORM / query builders with schema migration, scheduled tasks, data streaming and real time events, etc.
I wish JavaScript had an actually capable backend framework along the lines of Rails, Laravel, Django and Phoenix.
I started down the path of building one but it's a monumental task and every time I discussed it with someone who does JS they were always confused at why anyone would use a full stack framework in JavaScript when you can just npm install 303 random packages that haven't been updated in years and write 10k lines of boilerplate, or they get confused at why one would need all that ability.
The HTTP layer can “speak” cookies and forms, or REST / OpenAPI, or GraphQL.
The big missing piece is a built in LiveView / HotWire tool, but nothing stops you from bringing your own with @htmx_org or something.

I realized something.
@tabnine launched in 2018. Some people may have learned to code 7 years ago and have built a successful careers as software engineers, built impressive products, and mentor the next generation.
And yet they have *never* written code without AI assistance.
