"Again and again, our major institutions, from the media to the judiciary, have amplified Trump’s presence; again and again, we have failed to name the consequences. Fascism can be defeated, but not when we are on its side."

You’re dumber than dogshit, and as firmly ensconced in an epistemic bubble of manufactured reality as any MAGAtard.
Go fuck yourself.

I have known Chuck Schumer for 16 years. I worked closely with him and his staff when I worked for Harry Reid. I have a lot of respect for him and have also had my differences over the years.
The job of leader happens mostly behind the scenes. The traits that make a good leader are not the same as what makes you good at social media, etc. Reid was famous for saying off-message stuff—lord knows how he would have fared in the age of social media.
When you’re in the majority, the job is about setting the agenda and passing bills that help people. When you’re in the minority, you’re at the mercy of the majority in terms of the agenda, so the job is mainly to get back in the majority.
By that measure, Schumer succeeded wildly on Tuesday.
He oversaw the biggest Democratic sweep in the Senate since Watergate, recruiting candidates who fit their states and putting them in position to win states many had written off long ago. He was an early believer in Mississippi, for example.
You can litigate this or that decision, and I certainly didn’t agree with them all—but when you step back and look at the big picture there’s simply no way to argue with this historic achievement.
To me, the question of whether Schumer deserves to be reelected as leader after the most dominant performance by Senate Democrats in more than half a century is straightforward, and the answer is clearly yes.

Yeah, take your Saint Bernie fixation and fellation somewhere else.
Tuesday’s results would have been exactly the same if Bernie Sanders never existed.
In fact, he probably coast some candidates (cough, Abdul El-Sayed, cough) a couple of points in their margin of victory.
Looking like I’m going to be getting a lot f mileage out of this tweet:

Get really tired of twelve-year-olds lecturing people who first voted almost a half-century ago about political history over that time.
Democrats’ economic message has always been presented as a fight on behalf of the middle and working classes against the wealthy.
Always.

The worst-performing Democrats in competitive Senate races were the candidates Bernie endorsed. (link in next tweet, no paywall)

Bullshit. Information without context is gibberish. The media NEVER points out that almost everything Trump says is false and that most of what he does is illegal, not norm-breaking or boundary-pushing, but lawless.

Me too. I’m sure we’d still have plenty of things to worry about, but America would be an almost unimaginably better place if Democrats had won the elections of 1989, 2000 and 2016.

Dude, anyone who thinks Trump-Russia collusion was a “hoax” and that the efforts to mitigate COVID were “tyranny” is living in a fantasy land entirely disconnected from reality.
Also weird how you don’t support Trump but echo his preferred take on every key issue.
Nope. None of that actually happened. Trump was prosecuted for crimes he committed in plain sight. His campaign did collude with Russia to influence the 2016 election, and there are piles of evidence proving that they did.

I don’t want to sound conspiratorial, but it looks like the Stevens’ candidacy was a pro-Zionist play from the getgo. Schumer, Zionist to his bones, brought her in to the Senate race, despite their being a perfectly reasonable alternative to AES in Mallory McMorrow.
For the record, this lays out the basic problem readers have with a dozen or more stories about the Peltola campaign right before an election:

Oh, for fuck's sake. That's not the criticism that people are making of your coverage of the Peltola campaign and you know it. This is the criticism people are making and you are refusing to address:
LOL. Is destroy the country in a desperate pursuit of unimaginable wealth and unaccountable power on the list?
No?
Then get fucked.
lol. Jumps the gun. Thought this might be the angle of this piece.

If it’s nothing new, why is the New York Times treating it like Watergate?
So, in other words, give in to my demands or I’ll engage in an exercise that has no possible effect other than pulling votes from the non-fascist candidate.
And you wonder why I hate you motherfuckers. You’re no better than the fascists themselves.
