Media should not report that RFK is running in the Democratic primary unless he starts actually, like, running in the Democratic primary by doing things like talking to Democratic voters.

Not sure how many migrants need to literally die on Greg Abbott’s watch for us to treat what’s happening at the Texas border as the national scandal that it should be.

The insistence that “whoah, whoah this isn’t sanctions relief” just feeds the right’s argument that sanctions relief is somehow bad. When sanctioned governments stop doing the thing we want them to stop doing, they get sanctions relief. That’s how this is supposed to work!
Replying to @lrozen
This is not sanctions relief, Blinken said. “Iran’s own funds would be used and transferred to restricted accounts, such that monies can only be used for humanitarian purposes,” which is permitted under U.S. sanctions on Iran, he said. diplomatic.substack.com/p/be…

See the thing is you wouldn't find the same and more, and if you did democrats would absolutely still be talking about court reform, because there's only one party that even has pretensions of holding their own accountable

So outrageous to invoke fed. conspiracy laws against the most powerful man on earth just because he openly conspired to steal a federal election.
We should use these laws only as they were intended --to imprison the girlfriends of accused drug dealers for answering a phone call.

Cozy horror was a topic all of two and a half months ago, so it may as well have been the era of 23-Skiddo and celery-flavored soda pop, but if you're interested in an actual example of cozy horror, the manga SUMMER GHOST will be published next week.

Once again, if you see someone stealing food, no you didn't. Thousands of dollars were spent to take this shitty photo. Police wages, court costs, etc. And the food is just gonna be tossed in the trash anyway. Cops don't protect you. They protect the capitalist system.

Remember when the experts said that to get inflation under control we needed to lower wages, and drive up unemployment?
I never bought that.
Instead, I focused on getting more Americans into the workforce, fixing our broken supply chains, and lowering costs.
And it's working.

this is called a penny auction and is a form of protest against foreclosure. institutions only have power if we let them.
And due to the upside-down nature of American politics, this is bad for the guy who *isn't* multiply-indicted.

the thing is that we tried designing streets for the maximum convenience of cars — it doesn’t work! there’s still endless traffic for predictable reasons! the only reliable way to reduce traffic is to get cars off the road, which means better infrastructure for bikes/peds/transit
