youtube.com/watch?v=15Fpm_cj… -- Oh. Woops. I forgot to post this before I got distracted by Switch Era Fire Emblems. I'll get back to it eventually.
I would like someone who is pro-abortion based on this argument to engage in the hypothetical. Because, as a centrist squish who is personally against abortion, but understand that limiting the legal availability of it is difficult if not impossible at the moment, I would like to see how this circle is squared.
Because, I do wonder how, legally, we metaphorically split the baby the here. Does the conjoined twin who will die get to force them to stay connected? Does the other one win out?
This is a hypothetical that I think is interesting! (This is not an invitation to bug the doctor who does not want to engage in the hypothetical, which is why this is a screenshot, not a quote tweet.)
Again, I'm a moderate squish here, but it's questions like this and things like Kermit Gosnell that make me think maybe the pro-abortion, that make me want to get a better understanding of how the other side reasons through things, because I can generally follow the pro-life reasoning. But, I've never seen this hypothetical addressed except to have it dismissed, which, fair. I don't think it's a possible situation, hence the hypotheticalness of it.
