Advocates believe that the U.S., Israel, U.K. & Germany are pushing for @KarimKhanQC because he may shut down the ICC investigations into U.S. war crimes in Afghanistan and Israeli war crimes in Palestine. We need to know where this candidate stands on at least these two issues.

No one can just say to the court I’m a journalist let me in. You have to have a press card it’s as simple as that. If you are a freelance journalist and you want to go into courts, all you need to do is apply for it your NUJ otherwise really you are just a blagging Frauditor!
Most of the citizen journalists here to report on @TRobinsonNewEra were unable to get into court this morning. @ezralevant just left court - talking about how no citizen journalists were allowed into the mainly empty press gallery
🇷🇸🇷🇺 Contrary to online propaganda, the Student list has put out statements:
- Kosovo is an integral part of Serbia
- "We respect Russia both as a great power and as our historically important partner, and in many cases even our protector. There will be no changes there."
Their goal – to explicitly combat Vucic's years of corruption. But the EU and its propaganda cronies pushed the idea of pro-EU.
The pro EU party in Serbia barely won 0.3% and didn't secure a single seat in Parliament.

I have been detained by Israeli security forces all day. Along with with MPs @labourlewis, @larabirdsnp, MSP Kate Nevans, former MP @SamTarry and campaigners from across the world, we were turned back because they don’t want anyone seeing their ethnic cleansing.
I've been revisiting @UKLabour's 2024 manifesto, and some of the commitments are extraordinary given where we are today...
- Defend the international rule of law.
- Uphold international law in Gaza.
- Recognise Palestinian statehood as an inalienable right.
- Reject new oil and gas exploration because it worsens the climate crisis.
These weren't demands from protesters.
THEY WERE LABOUR'S OWN PROMISES!
The government shouldn't need reminding what the principles are. It already wrote them down and commited to them!
The question is why those principles become negotiable the moment defending them carries a political cost.
@andyburnham @ZackPolanski
The hold Israel, a genocidal state, has over Andy Burnham's Labour Party and through it, the entire British education system is terrifying
Over the weekend I have been taking ever deeper dives into Sir David Bell's “Independent” Review into Antisemitism in Schools and Colleges.
There is zero doubt in my mind that this sloppy, misleading, and inaccurate report is contribution to a systemic, legal, and institutional dismantling of any support for Palestine, or any education and discussion about Palestinian history and existence within the UK education system.

Oh boy, are the Right excited by this graph recently published by The Economist!
And of course none of them has bothered to read the article itself (TBF, it is behind a paywall!).
So as always, let's add a little context and explain why these kinds of comparisons are so problematic
🧵1/25
Met Police don't even hide it any more - they're a political police force, serving government ends. Its War Crimes Unit has looked the other way while IDF war criminals walk freely round the capital, meanwhile the police arrest grannies holding signs. All under Sadiq Khan's watch
🚨🇬🇧 Lidor Dafna filmed himself destroying one of the last remaining food production facilities serving a starving population, then posted the footage on social media as a trophy. The United Kingdom now faces a simple test: will it arrest and prosecute a man, who remains an active soldier of an army carrying out such crimes, or once again permit a perpetrator of genocide to walk freely on its soil and return to Gaza and Lebanon to continue committing his crimes? We have filed our complaint. Now it is up to the British authorities to act.

Why are British taxpayers paying MP's six figure salary and benefits incomes and getting only part-time workers in return? The whole system is just as much a scam as the one Bernie Madoff was conducting

I wonder if the Burnham government will issue an immediate set of responses in relation to this much more credible and properly researched report?
Or will it, instead, end bin collection in Birmingham because the Green Party believes the ideology behind those crimes is racist.

NOW: Hundreds outside 10 Downing Street for an emergency protest for Palestine against Israel’s violence in the West Bank. We need full arms embargo on Israel now 🇵🇸
Wes Streeting certainly gives good value to the people who have bought his services - and the thoroughly corrupt Labour Party is the ideal marketplace for him to ply his wares in
The reality of IHRA in the NHS: Wes Streeting brought it in after a group that began as the Israel Medical Association's British branch asked for it, and gave the review to Lord Mann, who had just chaired the Board of Deputies' own commission.
Mann's review then recommended what his commission for the Board had already proposed.
What we found:
- The Jewish Medical Association asked Streeting in December 2024 for IHRA and for "symbols, posters, signs, clothing" to be kept out of the NHS, its own newsletter says. It was registered as the Israel Medical Association British Fellowship, and its charitable aims make it "the link association" with the Israel Medical Association.
- Streeting met the Board of Deputies that month "To discuss antisemitism in the NHS", his department's records show. Its constitution commits it to "advance Israel's security, welfare and standing".
- Mann's commission for the Board called for antisemitism training in every NHS trust and a ban on staff "attire". The Board says his NHS review "reinforce[s]" it.
- In October 2025 Streeting asked NHS England to adopt IHRA, and it did the next day. None of Mann's 36 recommendations says to adopt it, yet NHS England asked every NHS organisation to confirm by 31 July whether it had.
Then we followed the money:
- The Antisemitism Policy Trust runs Mann’s office on £420,000 in four uncompeted government grants, according to the government’s own grants data. It ran the review’s secretariat, the review recommends its IHRA guide, and it sells antisemitism training, as the review tells the NHS to train all 1.5 million staff.
- Sir Trevor Chinn, on the executive committee of the pro-Israel lobby group BICOM, according to the Jewish Leadership Council, has given Streeting £33,250 since 2021, two donations while he was Health Secretary. He gave £5,000 to Mann's local party and funded Mann’s antisemitism work through Mann’s company.
- Labour Friends of Israel paid £4,700 for Streeting's trip to Israel. Israel's foreign ministry paid for Mann's trip to Jerusalem.
This matters because the IHRA definition treats some criticism of Israel as antisemitic, and NHS England has urged every trust to adopt it.
It now lands on nurses and doctors: UK Lawyers for Israel, which says it supports Israel "using their legal skills", complained to at least eight NHS trusts over Palestine badges, lanyards and flags, and Barts banned political symbols after its complaints.
The same group asks the World Medical Association to protect the Israel Medical Association, and asks NHS trusts to stop British nurses wearing a Palestine badge.

Tell me we don’t know what we are talking about?
Where are the rest of you who claim to be practicing doctors, not least in neonatal medicine or obstetrics?
Where are the voices from the Cheshire and Mersey Region?
Why the silence?
What are you afraid of?
Can members of Andy Burnham's genocide party be prosecuted under the Trades Descriptions Act for calling themselves "socialists"? Really insulting for anyone who's not a member to be gaslit like this #LabourFriendsofGenocide #LabourLies

My large family in northern Gaza is still waiting. Behind this silence are real needs, an exhausted heart, and the fear in my eyes as I wonder how I will provide food and water for my family.
Are there kind hearts willing to break this silence today? Even $5 could help us.

Fairly obvious that the rise in over-65's using subtitles is caused by hearing difficulties but for 18-24's - what is that about? Is hearing loss yet another #LongCovid effect?
Why doesn't Sadiq Khan do something useful for a change, and stand all day at the entrance to Oxford Street to block incoming cyclists?
The London mayor Sadiq Khan has hailed what he called the end of two decades of decline for the capital's main shopping street as a large stretch of Oxford Street became fully pedestrianised. Bus stops and taxi ranks have been dismantled and future plans include planting trees and creating public squares, at a total cost of around £150 million.
