Before asking Gemini to rewrite your website copy, try giving it the questions your customers ask most often.
You might be surprised by what you've forgotten to explain!
One service. One clearer message. That's a good place to start. 😊
Here's what I noticed -
This business already had the experience and services customers needed. The problem was that people weren't finding them on Google.
I've seen this challenge with established small businesses.
Before adding more services, make sure customers can find the ones you already offer.
A customer shouldn't have to call you just to understand what a service includes.
Before asking AI to write more website content, find out what your customers still need explained.
Their questions are a good place to start.
Here's something to check on your Google Business Profile today:
Open your Services section.
Are the services you currently offer listed?
Are there descriptions where you can add them?
It's a simple check that many established businesses overlook.
I've worked with business owners who can explain their services beautifully in a conversation.
But when you visit their website, that same clarity isn't there.
Your website needs to answer questions even when you're not there to explain things.
Ever had a customer say, "I didn't know you offered that!"?
Here's a quick Google visibility check:
Find the ONE service you most want to grow on your Google Business Profile and website.
Is it easy to find, understand, and act on?
If not, start there. 🔎
This is why I enjoy teaching! ❤️
I met Ian McDonald at the AIXP Conference. Since then, I've watched him go from learning about AI to building practical solutions and helping others learn, too.
Ian, I've really enjoyed watching your journey!
What I'd want online retailers to notice: customers can save items from several stores and come back later.
Having run ecommerce, I'd be checking Merchant Center product details and the mobile buying experience before increasing my ad budget.
Universal Cart 🛒 is rolling out in the U.S across Google Search and the Gemini app. It’s giving everyone an intelligent shopping cart and a new hub for shopping on Google.
Shopping rarely happens in one sitting. Universal Cart puts you in control: it helps you save items you love from multiple retailers across the web, make sure you never miss a deal, and enjoy effortless checkout powered by UCP.
Want to find a weak spot in your online store?
Pick up your phone and try buying something from it.
Can you see shipping costs? Is checkout easy? Can customers get help?
I'd do that before paying for more traffic.
One thing I learned running ecommerce: a product photo gets attention, but the details help someone decide.
If you're selling through Google, check your product titles, sizes, colors, prices, and availability.
A shopper saves your product on Google and comes back a few days later.
Does the price still match? Is it actually in stock?
Before spending more to attract shoppers, I'd make sure those details are right.
If you sell online, Google just changed how shoppers can save and compare products.
Universal Cart brings items from different stores together across Search and Gemini.
Having run ecommerce, I'd check product prices, availability, and mobile checkout first.
Being able to find your meeting notes is helpful!
But I also want Gemini helping me see what was promised, who's responsible, and what needs to happen next.
That's where I'd focus when teaching AI how my business works.
And I'd still review the follow-up before it goes to a customer.
Stop searching through endless folders for post-meeting files 🔍
Google Meet now organizes all meeting notes, transcripts, and recordings into a "Google Meet" folder in the host’s My Drive. Attendees get Drive shortcuts to these files, so you can skip the follow-up emails.

In my business, I'd use AI to help organize meeting notes, spot missing action items, and draft the follow-up.
But I'd still review what was promised and what the customer is being told.
I want AI helping me keep commitments, not making them for me.
Before buying another app to organize meetings and follow-ups, take a closer look at Google Workspace.
Meet, Docs, Gmail, Calendar, and Gemini may already cover much of what your team needs.
Check what your plan includes before adding another subscription.
One thing business owners know that AI doesn't:
How you want customers treated.
Before asking Gemini to draft follow-ups, explain your process, your expectations, and the promises you make.
That's information worth teaching it.
A customer meeting ends. Now you've got notes, commitments, deadlines, and follow-ups.
This is where I'd put Gemini to work.
Show it how your business handles the follow-up, let it help organize the next steps, and review everything before it goes to your customer.
This is one Google Search Console feature I want more business owners to use.
Switch between daily, weekly, and monthly views to see the trend before reacting to one bad day.
Your next website decision deserves more than a single scary number.
Today, we are excited to introduce a new feature in the Search Console Performance report: weekly and monthly views. developers.google.com/search…
This new functionality allows you to adjust the time aggregation of any of the performance charts, helping you smooth out daily changes and focus on the overall trend of traffic to your website.
I like a simple weekly Google visibility check:
Search clicks
Business Profile interactions
Calls and inquiries
Actual bookings or sales
The goal isn't to chase every little change.
It's to recognize a pattern before it becomes a business problem.
