Before asking Gemini to rewrite your website copy, try giving it the questions your customers ask most often.
You might be surprised by what you've forgotten to explain!
One service. One clearer message. That's a good place to start. 😊
This is why I enjoy teaching! ❤️
I met Ian McDonald at the AIXP Conference. Since then, I've watched him go from learning about AI to building practical solutions and helping others learn, too.
Ian, I've really enjoyed watching your journey!
If you sell online, Google just changed how shoppers can save and compare products.
Universal Cart brings items from different stores together across Search and Gemini.
Having run ecommerce, I'd check product prices, availability, and mobile checkout first.
A customer meeting ends. Now you've got notes, commitments, deadlines, and follow-ups.
This is where I'd put Gemini to work.
Show it how your business handles the follow-up, let it help organize the next steps, and review everything before it goes to your customer.
An SEO report says your Google rankings dropped.
Before changing your website, check:
• Search Console: Are clicks and impressions down?
• Google Business Profile: Are calls and interactions down?
• Your business: Are inquiries slowing?
Verify first. Then act.
Is your website doing its job?
You may have plenty of pages and blog posts, but are you answering the questions your customers actually ask?
Those answers can help people find, understand, and choose your business.
More content isn't always the answer. Better answers might be.
Angela asked me how often businesses need to post on their Google Business Profile.
My recommendation? Start with one useful post a week.
Google doesn't require a weekly schedule, and posting every day isn't a magic Google Maps ranking trick.
Focus on what your customers want to know.
Ever ask AI to write a marketing post and think, "I would NEVER say that!" 😅
Before your next prompt, give AI some context about your business, customers, and voice.
Then use your experience to review the result.
AI gets more useful when it understands the business you've built.
Can you reuse your Facebook or Instagram posts on your Google Business Profile?
Absolutely! But think about who's seeing them.
Someone on Google may already be looking for what you sell.
Give them information that helps them choose YOUR business.
Same idea. Different purpose.
Your inbox doesn't stop filling up just because you're away from your desk. 😅
I recorded this while at the Inc. 5000 conference because it's something so many busy business owners deal with.
We spend so much time trying to manage everything coming at us. And sometimes, we're paying for more tools when the ones we already have can help.
Before adding another productivity app, see what Google can already do for you.
Here's a quick tip you can put to work the next time you open Gmail.
I'm curious. What's your bigger email frustration: the sheer volume or figuring out what actually needs your attention?
