I think we can all agree now that Jess Asato is not up to the calibre of MP that we require in this country.
She thinks that people are guilty until proven innocent.

That is exactly what should be left to courts and experts to prove. All legislation requires interpretation alongside the facts of the case and the intention of the law. This is designed to ensure that harmful practices are discouraged.

It is the responsibility of elected MPs to make clear, precise laws, not pass vague legislation and leave judges to fill in the gaps while people's lives, liberty and futures hang in the balance.

I was in Northern Ireland today. I was at the funeral of a family member who was a Cistercian monk. He was 97 & 3/4. It was a deeply meaningful and very moving service. He helped build the monastery as a founder 78 years ago and was buried today in its grounds. I’m not a religious person but I’m very pleased I was there as he was sent to his god.
I agree, let’s hand over sovereignty over our data to other countries who can kill our access whenever they like, if we don’t play ball with them.

God I'm tired of this. "What politics has become"; YOU ARE THE POLITICS, you can't just keep hitting the 'make life worse for everyone' button then asking why nobody wants to be your friend. You don't even make efforts to defend these stupid bills, just telling us to accept it!
My friend @Jess4Lowestoft is a hero and a champion for women and children’s safety every single day.
Disagree with her if you want, she can take it. But the horrific character attacks this week should give us all pause about what our politics has become
Proud of you Jess x

Police reports say the suspect was shot, detained and taken to hospital, not killed. The motive is still under investigation by Polish authorities, so calling him a "terrorist" is also unconfirmed. ladbible.com/news/world-new… britbrief.co.uk/crime/violence…

@MoJGovUK How does my girlfriend filming me laying on the floor, tied up, while my girlfriend smothers my face with her feet, while simultaneously tickling my balls with a pink feather duster, and posting it online, help tackle violence against women and girls?

i’d love to speak to you in town about this because that mp you are sticking up for just said that people in uk courts now have to prove their innocence instead of the court proving they’re guilty which is completely authoritarian

If your law is so poorly written that you think it’s perfectly reasonable that someone should be arrested, prosecuted, risk being put in a cage forever, be traumatized, and lose everything just to see what your law really means, your law should be thrown out and so should you.

“Leave laws vague so courts can decide what we meant”.
Whatever you think of this specific law this is a staggering admission from a legislator (although it’s been obvious this is the dominant attitude of our MPs for some time, it’s just mad to hear one say it).
