Fire Marks @joetsai1999
Sad, lifeless, boring, pathetic team right now
It feels embarrassing to be a Nets fan, the one exciting player is on some weird mins limit
The vets don’t play hard at all
The 2025 draft looks awful
The org needs a new vision, a new voice, your GM is a con artist who’s had way too much time he’s going to have the worst resume ever for a 10+ year exec stop embarrassing us and fire him

Best tweet so far. 5 draft picks and they got NOTHING out of it. Would Demin even play for a half decent team? The other 4 are complete busts
Rest In Peace, Ross. What a great reporter, wonderful man.

Everyone finds Smoltz a constant irritant. The question is why doesn't MLB and FOX do something about it? He has a bug in his ear. Tell him to shut up and let the game breathe.
Once, Nets PA announcer Paul Gourvitz took a second to announce a basket by Neil. Neil looked directly at the scorers table and said, “Don’t be so surprised.”

Neil Johnson may very well have been the toughest hombre in ABA history! Word!!

Jordi Fernandez on why Mikel Brown Jr. and Egor Demin haven't played any minutes together thus far:
“If you guys do your subs, like all the fantasy that you guys do, try to do it yourself. It's pretty hard to share minutes when it's on the bench, off the bench. I'm trying to work the groups and trying to have guys play together, but it's hard to do it in certain ways without breaking up the player's rhythm.”
Does he expect Brown and Demin to share the court in the coming games?
"I don't know. I'll try all the combinations, but again, it's harder when you come off the bench and you have a minute restriction to get all the combinations without messing up other players' minutes. Do I want to see them together? Yes. It's hard for me to predict right now. What I want is to find the right groups that can function together and be efficient."

What made the ABA so special is it put the love of basketball and the brotherhood among players first. It led with heart and played for the fans. It was pro basketball at its very best.
I have no doubt each former ABA team will rise to the occasion. It’s still in their DNA 50 years later.
With the NBA celebrating the 50th anniversary of the ABA this season, let’s call on the surviving ABA teams to give $50k per ABA themed home game to the Dropping Dimes Foundation!
Stand with the ABA legends, add your name to this form and share it!

Sean Marks has the job security of Brian Cashman with the success of Billy King and the smugness of Phil Jackson (the GM).

Final thoughts on game 1 of 82
-Mikel needs to play full stop.
-Jefferson, Minott, and Nelson need to be getting burn idc who is cut out the rotation to do so
-Jordi’s rotations as a whole are dogshit. Play Egor and Mikel together or don’t play Egor at all
-Nolan doesn’t need any minutes on this team it’s obvious he isn’t an nba player
-Egor can have his minutes slashed too if he’s going to keep up this pg gimmick. Beyond that though even as a wing he needs to rebound, 6’9 with his rebound influence is putrid. Also no more moving jumpers.
-Sharpe was ok but needs to stay out of foul trouble.
-Wagner isnt good enough to warrant 20 mins a night, 0 rebound as a center in 20 mins is disgusting.
-Mpj and Randle were perfect, if literally anyone could take some of the scoring load they wouldn’t look so gassed in the 4th
-Keon shouldn’t ever play 35 minutes again. If he plays more than 20 consider that rotation a failure. He doesn’t do anything besides stationary 3s and not being completely lost on defense.
-Clowney needs to be better on his rebounding just like Egor even though he wasn’t nearly as bad tonight
-Chaney was actually ok but getting benched the entire game after 2 bad plays when Egor was allowed to shit the bed all game is disgustingly
-Powell, Wolf, and Saraf I’m genuinely ok with none of you playing in the nba ever again
81 more game to go!

The NBA is selling ABA gear but ABA stats don’t count in NBA records, and no share of merchandise $$ has been publicly committed to former ABA players.
Honor the legacy, not just the logos

This is so encouraging and uplifting. I know when my nephew, a Mets diehard, had a serious surgery, it was Ethan who gave him a huge left by sending a box of Mets related material. The best I can do in return is offer continued prayers.
I wanted to provide an update on Ethan WIlson. And I have some good news to report. metsinsider.mlblogs.com/upda…

NBA preseason overtime…should be decided by the first team to hit three half court shots.
NBA regular season overtime…should be two minutes with one time out each just to advance the ball.
NBA playoff overtime…can stay at five minutes.

The NBA has already embraced the ABA’s contributions to the game. It’s time to embrace the achievements of the men who made those contributions possible.
They deserve more than this … or an ABA uniform night or Bobblehead night
They deserve the respect they earned.

It ultimately took a solemn picture of Sam Smith in his hospital bed, with an ABA ball, to convince the NBA to agree to Recognition Payments in 2022.
What will it take for the NBA to recognize the historical significance of including ABA stats in the NBA records?! 🤨
