Preparing to lay my head on a soft pillow in my cozy home in Ottawa, my heart aches for Ukraine. And I'm livid over the obnoxious nonsense our city has endured. How dare those excuses for Canadians think they are owed anything by anyone. They are among the luckiest on the planet.

Rarely have I looked forward to a Summit this much.
An ocean separates Europe and Canada. Yet we have never felt closer.
We have a new ambition: bringing Canada closer to us than ever before, as Associate Member of the EU.
And we want to take our unique partnership even further.
With an Alliance for the Future, we will stand together and respond to a world of growing rivalries.
Montréal, we’re about to write a new chapter in our shared history.

Obama: "Canada, that historical adversary of ours. It's your neighbour. It's a few minutes drive over the bridge. They are the nicest people. And somehow we've gotten them so mad because they're just constantly being abused and talked about. Talking about annexing their country, making it a 51st state."

With the tragedy that unfolded in Wainwright and injured people being transfered to hospitals across the prairies, they will need it.

With regards to what happened yesterday at CFB Wainwright:
The Canadian Forces' first priority in situations such as this is recovering any more wounded or fallen, and notifying the families of the soldiers affected by this tragic accident. Their second priority is helping the wounded and the families of the fallen in every way necessary.
Informing us civilians is their lowest priority right now.
In time, we will understand exactly what happened. But we civilians must be patient. We must let the Forces run through their protocols for this tragic accident.
Reckless speculation and wild rumours do not help those who are injured, and they are disrespectful to the fallen.

Have a great Thanksgiving, Canada.
One of the most ancient of all celebrations, of harvest time. Share it with others if you can. Enjoy the weekend!

This morning I had to go to the Subaru dealer in the east end to pick up a few things, so thought I would go back to #MerBleue as it wasn't far away. I would like to have been there early enough for the sunrise but am quite happy with these two shots.#NatureSunrise
