So what's in this for UK?
Seems Burnham has been messing around with the original negotiations of Keir Starmers Team.

I have been holding my tongue about something that happened during the Ohio gubernatorial race. I refused to speak while the election was underway because I did not want my words mistaken for an attempt to influence anyoneβs vote.
But now that the election is over, I have something to say.
For nearly twenty years, my ministry has taken me among the homeless, the abused, the exploited, and the forgotten. I have sat with victims of sexual violence and witnessed the lifelong wounds of childhood trauma.
What Vivek Ramaswamyβs campaign did to Amy Acton was among the most morally repulsive things I have witnessed in American politics.
They took a woman whose stepfather was indicted for raping her when she was twelve years old and featured her mother, from whom she had been estranged for nearly fifty years, in a political advertisement attacking her credibility.
The advertisement challenged Actonβs account of her childhood without mentioning the sexual abuse allegations or the circumstances of that estrangement. When people expressed their horror, the campaign defended it.
Imagine examining another personβs childhood suffering and fractured family relationships, then deciding those wounds might help win an election.
Anyone who has worked with survivors of childhood sexual abuse understands the painful realities of denial, betrayal, shame, and estrangement. A child growing into a successful adult does not erase what happened. Nor does a parentβs denial make that suffering disappear.
I find it equally disturbing that an elderly mother, whom Acton herself described as unwell, was brought into this spectacle. Whatever her own struggles or responsibility for the past, exploiting that fractured relationship was grotesque.
To everyone who defended this, consider the message you sent to survivors. To the young woman whose family refuses to believe her. To the man who has carried the shame of childhood abuse for forty years. To the frightened child who has yet to tell anyone.
What did you teach them about the value of their suffering?
I am a priest. I believe in repentance, forgiveness, and redemption. But none of those things requires me to pretend that deliberate cruelty is anything less than a grave moral failure.
Your political allegiance does not absolve you of moral responsibility. You do not get to set aside your conscience during an election and retrieve it afterward.
If your loyalty requires you to defend the exploitation of a childhood sexual abuse survivor, your loyalty has become an idol. And if your conscience cannot recognize the wrong here, examine what political tribalism has done to it.
This is not about Republicans or Democrats. We have a choice as a people: continue excusing cruelty from our preferred political camp, or summon the courage to condemn it wherever it appears.
Amy Acton deserved better. Every survivor who watched this unfold deserved better.
And God help us if we have reached the point where winning an election matters more than protecting the dignity of a wounded human being.

Leaving Europe was an act of economic self sabotage in my opinion and the consequences are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
We need to stop looking backwards.. start being honest about the damage Brexit has done.. and work towards rebuilding a much closer relationship with the EU.
Our future.. our economy and our opportunities are intrinsically linked to Europe.
We should be strengthening those ties.. not distancing ourselves further.
@andyburnham it's time to show some ambition.
Stop sitting on the fence and start making the case for getting Britain back into Europe. Ultimately...closer ties must be the beginning of a serious conversation about rejoining.
We've wasted enough time.
Britain deserves a future.. not a permanent Brexit hangover.
@Keir_Starmer done 2 years of hard graft gaining trust and respect in Europe..DONOT fcuk up all his work.

I would advise Labour MPs NOT to look at the posts on here. It's clear that the overwhelming majority of former Labour members and supporters are totally opposed to Mayor Burnham and his band of incompetents and wish Starmer was still running the show.

This was Keir Starmer's work negotiated by Nick Thomas Symonds whom Burnham sacked along with 10 other Starmer Ministers.
The Prime Minister is set to announce new trade deals with the European Union worth billions of pounds, as part of plans to forge a closer relationship between Britain and Europe.
Andy Burnham will meet top European leaders Antonio Costa and Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels later this month when the deals are expected to be announced, including a major agricultural agreement and a youth visa scheme.

Deal arranged by Starmer and delayed by Burnhamβs illegimate coupβ¦
Bravo Burnham, the food deal with the EU is a key first step on the urgently required reset of UK' arrangenents with our neighbours. Of course, the Brexiteers will go into meltdown, but we can't let their anger stand in the way of what is essential & rational. We simply can't flourish without a new relationship with the EU. Go for it Andy!

πΊπ¦π·πΊ ZELENSKYY HAS HAD ENOUGH OF PUTINβS HISTORY LESSONS
Volodymyr Zelenskyy sees little value in another phone call with Vladimir Putin.
He expects a stiff, formal conversation followed by yet another lecture about Russian history, while Moscow uses the call to avoid the face-to-face negotiations needed to end the war.
Zelenskyy wants something concrete instead: a meeting between the leaders, beginning with an agreement on a ceasefire.
And as for Putinβs repeated suggestion that Zelenskyy should travel to Moscow?
The Ukrainian president has no intention of accepting.
βWe are not inviting Putin to Kyiv. The Russians came to us in 2022 without any invitation.β
He also dismissed the idea of inviting Putin to Kyiv, arguing that the Russian side would never accept.
To Zelenskyy, demanding that Ukraineβs president travel to the capital of the country invading his own is an insult to everyone genuinely seeking an end to the war.
The disagreement is about more than where two presidents sit across a table.
Kyiv wants negotiations that produce an actual halt to the fighting. Zelenskyy fears Moscow would turn another diplomatic exchange into a lengthy performance without making any meaningful commitment.
After nearly five years of war, he has little patience left for Putinβs version of history.
