5 years. 50% close by year 15 and 37% get millions in start up money but never open. When charters close or never open, the owners keep the money. These are your school tax dollars. #TBATs gadflyonthewallblog.com/2023… @SoCarolinaBATs @NoCarolinaBATs @ArkansasBATsA @LouisianaBATs

#TBATs This can't be said enough! Being "Proficient" on the NAEP test means "above average." Also, it's independent of state standards, so material might be totally different than what has been taught. The PUBLIC needs to know. b/c public schools are being beat up over scores.

#NAEP docs explain that NAEP proficiency level does not equate to being on grade level. It is above grade level: "Challenging content" Also, NAEP is independent of state and local standards - not aligned. #edchat @BadassTeachersA @NEAtoday @AFTunion #satchat #suptchat #leadlap

We've spent more than a decade locking down our schools, hardening them, forcing our kids thru traumatizing Active Shooter Drills & for what? School massacres are increasing. There are better solutions. #SensibleGunLaws #TBATs @VermontBATs @NHampshireBATs @BATs_DC @BATsDelaware

Charter Schools need to have the same transparency rules as regular public schools. They shouldn't be able to call themselves a "school" when they take the money, but call themselves a "business" when they hide it. #TBATs @VermontBATs @NHampshireBATs @MaineBATs @ctbadassteacher
