Funny how the one that speaks the truth is the problem for Trump...
The low down on this CR. It’s a fake fight here in the House that will become obvious when the Senate Democrats vote for this stinker.

Im sure when he pardons his whole family and everyone around him people will understand.
Another red flag most are ignoring: Corruption was a top issue for voters. The level of in-your-face self-enrichment going on has been unprecedented, and no amount of deflection or ignoring it is going to fix that damaging perception. It has to stop.

Yep
I vividly remember getting absolutely destroyed by MAGA every single day on here for supporting DeSantis in the 2024 presidential primaries. It was BRUTAL, but I stuck to my guns and instincts and didn’t waiver until he ultimately dropped out of the race. I supported him because he is the most effective and competent Republican leader in this country. It was true then and it’s true now. It’s ironic to see so many on the right now come to the same conclusion, years later. Funny how things change.

DeSantis may not have whatever that mysterious je ne sais quoi rizz factor is that you supposedly need to be president these days but my God would I trust him to run literally any and every organization in existence from the local library to the military
Is there any comparative figure on the left who is so obviously competent, wildly successful, and beloved by every half-intelligent person in the party but who everyone says has no chance at winning the primary? Maybe Josh Shapiro?

I love this "we're not going back to the old GOP." You never left it and you built the ultimate golden calf that ensured we wouldn't. And you remained silent because you value your access more than the words you spew.

2 election cycles ago, Doug Ducey won Arizona by 15 points. 1 election cycle ago, Brian Kemp won Georgia by 9 points and Greg Abbott won Texas by 11 points. These Ruby Red states are now Blue solely because of Donald Trump and his minions. Trump attacked electable Republicans in those states and replaced them with low IQ charlatans who's only qualifications were loyalty to him. All is not lost but Republicans will have to rebuild a coalition that doesn't use Trump loyalty purity tests to determine who is best qualified to lead.

If you think Trump wouldn't cut a deal with Dems on amnesty, you weren't paying attention during the first term, and that was before all the corruption charges that are coming youtu.be/2nIiu-C9M7U

Why is there so few who understand exactly this?
So all of the "we're so back" and "golden economy" fags for the first 18 months who blissfully missed the problem and still miss the 800 pound gorilla in the room (or lack the balls to articulate it) and were responsible for cancelling the last primary, which in turn led to the cancellation of 5 cycles of GOP down ballot primaries on behalf of globalists now have a new solution..let's cancel the next primary on behalf of the freaken VP of the CURRENT dude who will have to own the next 24 months of this. That is worse than running Dick Cheney in '08. Look I'm all open to all ideas, but we need choice and competition to actually sort out some very tough and painful questions and put everything on the table. Given the current dynamic with Trump in their for the entire duration of the primary and generation, you ideally need a totally independent guy sort of in the mold of RFK (but not him) to rail against the status quo of both parties, something that pretty much no Republican can do, most certainly not the sitting number 2 while the sitting number 1 is mouthing off. This is incompressible. It reminds me of when I worked with Dave Brat to knock off the sitting House Majority Leader. People who had no clue this was even happening all of a sudden had it all figured out in three second with zero humility. This in itself is the problem with the self-defeating insular right that undermines all its stated beliefs. It makes no sense from any ideological or strategic standpoint.

Trump has spent a decade purging conservatism—constitutional, economic, and even social (in the deepest sense of humility and respect for others)—from the Republican Party. We should take solace in this absolute defeat because it’s a real chance to rebuild American conservatism.

THIS!!
Dems look like they might get 56. Rs will never get that back for a long time. You ignore primaries for years, anoint a charlatan as not just leader but God, and then mimic his retardation every day for a decade, at some point the chickens come home to roost.

Rons not wasting any time , his 28 campaign has started.
Ron DeSantis goes after Kristi Noem in sign of early 2028 campaign maneuvering, indicates he thinks it was a mistake for her to be Security of Homeland Security. Ron looks and sounds great. Ready to run. I’m all-in.

We need more people of stature willing to call Trump out for his deception, betrayal and gaslighting. I’m glad DeSantis WENT THERE.

Things applauded at Trump rallies in 2024: “Release the Epstein files!” “No new wars!” “Bring our Troops home!” “Put America first!” Things that will get you kicked out of Trump rallies in 2026: “Release the Epstein files!” “No new wars!” “Bring our Troops home!” “Put America first!”

What’s coming was avoidable, but Republicans in Congress let Trump start a war, increase spending, arm a genocide, betray MAHA, and cover up for Epstein’s coconspirators. I was ousted with over $30 million of foreign lobby money for refusing to go along, and here we are.

11 years into MAGA, all but 2-3 senate and gov candidates even in the reddest states this year are every bit the armpit of everything we all hated about the GOP prior to Trump. This is the most important discussion that should take place on the right, but it hasn't and I doubt it will on Nov. 4 either. We will hear about every other distraction. Orwell is calling.
