Nikita Bier, head of product at X, said the platform is developing Smart Cashtags, allowing users to tag specific assets or smart contracts when posting tickers. The feature will support near–real-time on-chain assets, with a public release targeted for next month. teapaw.org/nikitabier/status/2010…
X is the best source for financial news -- and hundreds of billions of dollars are deployed based on things people read here. We are building Smart Cashtags that allow you to specify the exact asset (or smart contract) when posting a ticker. From Timeline, users will be able to tap them to see its real-time price along with all mentions of that asset. We're aiming to collect feedback as we iterate toward a public release next month.

Random variation of existing results. The reviewers at @SciReports have failed. Interesting how the results for other architectures are so similar. @RealAAAI #AlgoTrading

I reverse engineered the San Francisco parking ticket system. I can see every ticket seconds after it's written So I made a website. Find My Friends? AVOID THE PARKING COPS.

I design apps for a living. I've spent 6+ years using every FinTech app on the market. Here are 9 of the best (and worst) FinTech apps & what you can learn from their UI/UX: 1. @RevolutApp

LinkedIn may have trained AI models on user data without updating its terms. LinkedIn users in the US have an opt-out toggle in their settings screen disclosing that LinkedIn scrapes personal data to train “content creation AI models.” The toggle isn’t new. But, as first reported by 404 Media, LinkedIn initially didn’t refresh its privacy policy to reflect the data use. Read more here: tcrn.ch/4grI3WD

The “business” of dating apps is weird. You have to sell the idea of helping someone find their forever person, but, in reality, a free user quickly finding a long-term relationship is bad for business. So you need to gatekeep the most desirable matches. Limits on swipes, attractive folks in “stand out” sections, etc. Oh, you want to chat with more attractive folks? Pay $20. And then you want these repeat customers to keep coming back. Instead of helping someone find their person, feed them a steady stream of attractive options. Gamify it. Guys get addicted to seeing how many girls they can match and go out with. Girls are addicted the attention they receive from attractive suitors. You had a great first date? Cool. But you have 7 more potential first dates waiting. What if one is marginally hotter/smarter/more charismatic? When you have a near-infinite stream of constant options, “what if” scenarios prevent you from fulling engaging with any one person. You go on a date, get home, and schedule 4 more. And when you meet someone on an app, it dehumanizes them a bit. They’re one of many people on apps. Easily replaceable. You take them less seriously. Every first date is job interview-adjacent because there’s no prior spark to build from. It’s unnatural. If you meet someone at school, work, a coffee shop, the bar, church, or somewhere else live, you get the spark FIRST, then build off that in a date. Dating apps are transactional. “I find you hot and your metrics hit my requirements, you think the same.” People are no longer people, they’re six photos and a couple of prompts. But that’s a feature, not a flaw. They make money from the idea of finding a relationship, not from making it happen.
Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd says the future of dating is having your AI date other people's AI and recommend the best matches for you to meet
