LBJ on Isræl's attack against the USS Liberty:
“I don’t want to embarrass our ally Isræl. You pull those bombers back.”
Ray McGovern, a 27-year CIA veteran, recounts how LBJ betrayed American sailors to protect Isræl.
But LBJ's words, recounted by Admiral Lawrence Geis, are even more damning:
“I don’t give a damn if every man drowns and the ship sinks.”
And standing beside LBJ was Mathilde Krim, his Isræli spy and mistress.
It's a disgrace that history still remembers LBJ as an American president rather than a traitor to the Americans he abandoned.
The quoted article includes all the declassified NSA and CIA documents confirming that Isræl knew the USS Liberty was an American ship and identifying Menachem Begin, the Ziønist terrørist leader of Irgun, as the man who ordered the attack.
Menachem Begin later founded Likud, the party now led by Netanyahu.
ISRAEL ATTACKED THE USS LIBERTY IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
34 Americans killed. 171 wounded.
Declassified intelligence records reveal Israeli pilots identified the ship as American.

36 hours away from the opening of the polls, a sizeable portion of Israeli society believes that the outcome of these elections will have a major impact on the viability of the Third Jewish Commonwealth.
But the acute fear shared by many is much more focused than that.
We fear Netanyahu.
Not the customary apprehension. A real gut, visceral fear.
Netanyahu will stop at nothing to remain in power. An attack on Iran? Sure. Intentionally igniting violence in the West Bank? You bet. Peddling "Apocalypse Now" with mushroom clouds? Check. Crashing the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange? Why not? Using violence to disrupt the electoral process? If only he could.
36 hours until the polls open. Then the 15 hours when the polls are open. Then the vote counting. Then the transition to a new government.
He's desperate and panicking. He will remain dangerous as long as he remains in power - more dangerous to Israel than Iran and Hamas put together.
Gird loins.

Still relevant today: After the first Gulf War, George Carlin mocks the military-industrial complex and the US’ constant need for war:
‘It’s a good thing we’re good at war because we’re not very good at anything else anymore.
We can’t build a decent car, can’t make a TV set or a VCR worth a f***, got no steel industry left, can’t get healthcare to our old people, can’t educate our young people…
But we can bomb the sh*t out of your country alright!’
Andy Schectman: The military-industrial complex has HELD DOWN SILVER prices to build WEAPONS
‘The military-industrial complex, if I had to guess, would be the ones that have held down silver forever. There’s massive amounts of silver in high-tech weaponry, like the Tomahawk cruise missile, like F-35s, like stealth bombers, and it’s not just in the United States; it’s sold all throughout the Western edifice through NATO. They need tremendous amounts of silver.
It’s not even about the price getting away from them that they’re concerned about. It’s that rising price creates too much demand. People will run to the assets that are taking off in price. And so they suppress the price in order to build high-tech weaponry.
JP Morgan, who paid a $920 million fine to the Justice Department, the largest they ever handed out for manipulating the metals market, somehow is the custodian of the world’s largest silver trust, SLV. There is no question in my mind but that it is the Western military-industrial complex that has tried forever to hold it down.'

Actually, no.
Zionism is about 130 years old.
No Jewish text or teaching before that time was about taking over the Land of Israel by force and taking it from other people.
That is not a Jewish value. Our religion never proposed or suggested that.
Zionism, a modern, political ideology, arose as a rebellion against religion.

Lula vs. Bolsonaro: I was held in solitary confinement for 1,901 days for revealing the truth about the U.S. government's killings and espionage, including against Brazil and its industries. Out of power, Lula fought for my freedom. In power, Lula discussed my persecution with Pope Francis, who decided to meet with my family and offer help. After my release, Lula and I met in Rome to mourn the Holy Father's passing. Lula was kind to my children and asked for nothing in return. In contrast, Jair and Flávio Bolsonaro did nothing and said nothing. Yet without the ability to say no to Washington and Tel Aviv, there can be no domestic policy, only foreign instructions. Those orders are always the same: "Expand our theft of resources and wages, and keep your mouths shut about us murdering children." Sellouts will surrender everything in exchange for a cut, even their own tongues.

Slavoj Žižek is getting better and better as a public intellectual. This should scare us. Here's why.
Žižek's old problem is that he critiques aimless consumerism while himself being a stupendous consumerist product. In the past, his radicalism has too often been vacuous.
Pulling himself out of a swamp by his own hair, Žižek's commentary has become more incisive. But this is not the main reason he is getting better.
As a civilisation that's stuck, in Gramsci's words, between an old world that's dying and a new world that can't be born, we are inarticulate about our own predicament. We find it scary to talk about the causes of the crisis of trust and alienation from politics we see all around us.
Unfortunately, our public intellectuals are in the same predicament. Many liberal intellectuals have become entrepreneurs for normalisation - they're inarticulate about how Reagan, Clinton, and Obama inadvertently helped cause Trump. Many left intellectuals have become entrepreneurs for narrow identity politics. Many right intellectuals have become entrepreneurs for authoritarian politics.
Meanwhile, Žižek has joined a small minority of public intellectuals who can still acknowledge basic truths about our predicament.
In a BBC Newsnight interview this month, Žižek argued that -
(1) Trump is a symptom, not the underlying problem.
(2) The left has abandoned its commitment to a universal political vision.
(3) The breakdown of democracy and the global order is not temporary.
(4) Trump and Putin together represent a new political-economic ideology.
(5) We lack the capacity for collective action to address three great challenges: environmental catastrophe, global war, and artificial intelligence.
(6) We are needlessly making a bad situation worse by failing to act boldly and snap out of denial.
These thoughts are not extraordinary. They are routine. It is genuinely shocking that Žižek can sound radical by naming realities any educated adult should be able to recognise. Žižek's growing usefulness is a disturbing feature of our times. Above all, it reminds us that a central difficulty of our historical predicament is that it has caused us to be unable to talk about it.

This is the most revealing interview clip from Netanyahu I have ever seen. Netanyahu explains that Israel is facing global sanctions and an end to US aid and proposes the use of blockchain and crypto as a solution. This is very telling:
1) Netanyahu is planning for a future of sanctions evasion. He believes that it is facing a similar future to Russia and Iran. Having seen them both survive that he believes Israel can do it too and seems resigned.
2) He believes Israel has lost active American support and does not think it can fight it.
3) The kind of blockchain and crypto solution he is discussing is not meant to uphold an entire economy. Rather, it is a good way for an elite to keep functioning while the people are in poverty.
His plan is to move Israel further towards an isolated kleptocracy, while continuing to commit genocide and ethnic cleansing. This is the Israeli future.

On Lindsey Graham.
Stay with me on this.
The worst kept secret in Washington DC came out today because 3 brave men came out and told the truth and it doesn’t matter if it is after he’s dead.
Brave?
Yes brave.
Why are they brave?
They had to go on camera and tell intimate details of their personal lives.
To the world.
That is extremely difficult to do. Yes it’s brave. And Stressful. They walked into the public square opening themselves to the opinions of the entire world.
No matter your opinion on the issue, they took a courageous leap in coming forward.
If you are critical, would you go on camera and tell your secrets to the entire world?
I would bet a lot of money you wouldn’t.
Ok but there is more to this.
Because this is the world I saw up close in Washington.
I saw behind the curtain and saw ALL the wizards.
Everyone in the highest levels of power in Washington DC are keeping secrets that would destroy their entire lives.
And that’s exactly why they have power.
Not because they are so smart or qualified or the best choice for leadership.
I mean really, if you think our best and brightest are in charge then do some critical thinking and look at the pathetic state of our debt, our dollar, and how our government is run, and the outcome that affects your life.
Their secrets are the only reason these people rise to the top.
Because their secrets are not secrets.
We all knew Lindsey Graham was gay. Everyone did.
Their secrets are levers of control. Keeps them in line. Makes them a team player. And will make them fight the hardest on issues that don’t make sense in order to keep their secrets just that. Secrets.
So everyone is arguing about how this is old news, why now? Or arguing about being gay, and gay issues. Or arguing because that’s what everyone does on the internet, just argue with each other and with bots about issues they don’t have the real truth on, but throw out their strongest opinion anyways.
I’m here to tell you the granular issue you need to dial in on and block out the rest of the noise.
Three gay men just bravely pulled back the curtain and tried to teach you all the most important lesson America needs to learn.
It’s this.
America’s most powerful leaders keep secrets that comprise them in the most dangerous ways for the security, safety, and prosperity of our nation.
That’s the whole point.
I tried my hardest to fight the entire system on both sides of the aisle and couldn’t beat it because YOU ALL keep voting these people back into office and back into power.
By the way, I always cosponsored the Term Limit bill and no matter who is in charge, Pelosi, McCarthy, or Johnson, Dem or Rep, that bill never ever got even close to getting a vote on the House floor.
So the question for you, The American People, is are you able to learn the lesson and if so, what exactly are YOU going to do about it?
Ask yourself, what are you voting for? Donating to? Volunteering for?
And are you really satisfied with the outcome election cycle after election cycle?

Some people are responding to the headline of my latest article on the film NAZA with: "There's no evil lurking in me. It's just those Israeli soldiers."
There are two things that make any of us capable of committing evil acts:
1. Finding ourselves in circumstances that, we are persuaded, call for evil.
2. Lacking the capacity for deep self-reflection.
Those of us who have never found ourselves in the first situation have never really been tested on whether we have that second capacity.
If you're absolutely certain that you could never do what those Israeli soldiers did in Gaza, then you have either done a lot of self-reflection or none at all.
We have faced one test already: whether we protested the Gaza genocide with all our might or stayed quiet.
But that test is the lowest bar there is. Would we still keep our humanity if we were persuaded the stakes were personally much higher for us and our loved ones, as many Israelis were persuaded in relation to Gaza.
NAZA works, at least for western audiences, because on one level it makes us identify with the Israeli soldiers – they look and sound like our own children – while on another it shows the utter depravity of what they are rationalising to themselves and to us.
It pulls us in and repulses us at the same time. It causes huge cognitive dissonance in western audiences – the reason most people walk out in stunned silence.
That may lead to the kind of deeper self-reflection needed before western publics refuse to allow their leaders to collude in genocide.
But it may also lead some, those less able to self-reflect, to entrench in their connivance with evil.
We can't blame NAZA for that. The film offers us a chance to open our eyes. But each of us must decide whether we are willing to see or remain blind.

There was a deeper reason why the film NAZA left the entire audience speechless.
This film isn’t about the tangible, visible horror of Gaza. It was about something more hidden, something far closer to home.
This was about the horror lurking within each of us. What the German-Jewish philosopher Hannah Arendt called “the banality of evil”.
We were stunned, I think, by the realisation that the 24 Israelis up on the screen – each of whom admitted, often dispassionately, sometimes a little proudly, carrying out the most monstrous of crimes – could have been our son or daughter, our brother or sister.
The only reason to applaud, as happened at the Venice Film Festival, it seemed to me, was to drown out the still, small voice of one’s conscience asking, “Might I have done as they did? Might my children?”
NAZA is a gut punch not because it tells us anything we did not already know or suspect about Israel and Gaza.
The enclave’s Palestinian journalists showed us daily the evidence of the genocide, before each was picked off by Israel’s AI machinery – in the largest slaughter of media personnel ever recorded.
No, the film tells us something far more shaming. It tells us who we are. It tells us exactly what the pillars of our western “civilisation” stand on.
Today’s western privileges were built on a long history of naked, racist colonialism – of greed, of pillage, of slavery, of genocide – that we have never truly renounced or forsaken.
Israel continues that tradition for us, both in sharpening colonialism’s technical efficiency with endless, murderous experimentation on a captive Palestinian population and in obscuring our own complicity in this barbarity.
That is the reason why it was so effortless for our leaders to collude in Israel’s genocide: to supply the bombs, to pass on the intelligence, to provide the diplomatic cover, to excuse the “excesses”, to crush the protests.
NAZA silences us not because of the monstrosity of what Israel did but because it serves as irrefutable proof of our own monstrosity. Our societies watched it all and did nothing. We are all guilty.
This is an extract from my latest article NAZA is not just about Israel and Gaza. It’s about the evil lurking in us all. Find a link to the rest in the reply post below ⬇️

Israel has long claimed that Hamas went around slaughtering children on October 7th. Yet even the Israeli records and the camera footage it released show this is not true. 16 children under 14 were killed on October 7. I went through every one of them, case by case. There is not a single case of a child targeted and executed intentionally by Hamas. But that false narrative has been used to justify the slaughter over 20,000 Palestinian children in Gaza. Pat Buchanan, 1999:
“By moving NATO onto Russia’s front porch, we have scheduled a twenty-first century confrontation. … America will face a hellish dilemma: risk confrontation with a nuclear-armed Russia determined to recreate its old sphere of influence, or renege on solemn commitments and see NATO collapse.”
Therefore, he said, “Offering NATO memberships to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and, as some urge, Ukraine is rashness bordering on madness.” Referring to maps the Clinton team must have ignored, Buchanan warned, “This would put the Russian base at Kaliningrad behind NATO lines and bring into a U.S.-led alliance three nations with huge Russian minorities.” Foreseeing future conflict, he observed that “Latvia is almost half Russian; eastern Ukraine, almost entirely Russian. America could neither defend nor liberate these nations without the risk of nuclear war.”

Steve Schmidt on what Dems must tell Trump when they retake Congress:
•You will not keep the Qatari jet. We will legislate against its transfer to you, your foundation or your presidential library.
•We will block authorization & funding for your victory arch.
•We will appropriate no $$ to finish your ballroom. We will advance legislation to remove it & rebuild the East Wing.
•We will replant the trees, restore the public grounds, remove your ornamental vanity alterations & gilded Trump crappola.
I would add to this the following :
1. We will develop and pass legislation to cancel the disastrous Citizens United decision and prohibit corporations and other organizations and any individual who is not a registered voter from contributing in any way to electoral campaigns.
2. We will prohibit lobbying by corporations, businesses, political organizations, or religious organizations.
3. We will prohibit the sale of arms or ammunition to Israel.
4. We will abolish ICE.
5. We will end the electoral college and elect the president by popular vote.
6. No person who has been convicted of any criminal offense will be eligible to run as a candidate for any federal office.
7. All Americans will be provided with the same healthcare that Congress provides for its members.
8. Members of Congress and other elected officials will receive their salaries only for the time served and their pensions will be from Social Security as provided for all citizens
