Step back in time to 1902 with this incredible archive photo of the West Baden Springs Hotel in Indiana. This iconic landmark was famous for its jaw-dropping, self-supporting steel-and-glass dome spanning 200 feet—holding the title for the largest free-span dome in the world for over a decade and earning the legendary nickname, the "Eighth Wonder of the World." 🏛️✨ #history #architecture #Indiana #dome #landmark – at Pine Bluff, AR

The old Union Station in Columbus, Ohio, was truly a sight to behold. Founded in 1890 and demolished in 1977, this magnificent building looked like something straight out of Ancient Rome, yet it stood in Ohio. It’s honestly incredible to think about the architectural ambition present in small cities back then, creating such works of art despite their modest populations at the time. #History #Architecture #Ohio #Columbus #Station 🏛️🚂✨ – at Pine Bluff, AR

convinced that a bit of transcendental meditation, proper breathing, tactical use of magnesium + theanine and 10k steps a day would end anxiety for most people permanently
Don’t ever move in with or marry anybody with chronically low self-esteem.
It’ll be Groucho Marx syndrome. They will look down on you for staying with them. They will try to tear you down.
It took me way too long to learn this. Way too long.

Oxford Street is full of people wearing Hogwarts scarves! 😂The security guy at the new Harry Potter shop on Oxford Street tells me there is currently just a ‘short’ wait – only 20 minutes – and that they have had >8000 visitors a day so far

When I fly back to Albany, NY from the south, this is the view from NYC up the Hudson River.
This is what Upstate NY looks like today.
All for a form of energy that only converts at 12-15% of its annual potential.
And when we need it most come this winter? Solar drops to 0% during snowstorms and the days after. This was documented on NYISO last winter. In the week after a blizzard at the end of January 2026, solar still sat at 0%.
Why? The snow sat on the panels.
ORES complexes are 1,000+ acres. No one is outside clearing snow off the panels. In fact, a complex as big as Fort Edward Solar only creates “2.5 full-time jobs,” which they’ve had to admit on the ORES docket.
This is one of the biggest scams ever peddled on the American public. Foreign corporations are getting richer while we lose our habitat, wildlife, history, viewsheds, and property values.

A few years ago, jarred by a tragedy, I set out on a road trip across America with no schedule and no idea when I'd return. In Arizona, early in the trip, I met a Hopi man who'd lost his wife in a terrible accident and been wandering ever since. He wished me well but warned me not to travel for too long. I asked him what "too long" was.
"When you stop feeling homesick, you've been away too long," he said. "Make sure to turn back while you're still homesick."
This book is the true story of that two-month journey and the surprising things I learned along the way, some of them difficult, some profoundly hopeful. It will be published in June but you can preorder it now, and I hope you will. It helps a book catch on.
I wrote it for you, about us.

I ate a bunch of homemade mayonnaise yesterday and my skin look incredible today. Which makes sense because mayo is a colloidal suspension which makes fats and fat soluble vitamins super easy for the digestive tract to break down and rapidly uptake. Tldr eat more mayo for beauty

Urging all older people to work on stepping and eventually jumping down from things. A six inch step or box is a good start.
Just step down and work toward jumping down, then add height. Only progress when it’s easy.
Moderately jarring impacts will save you from falling.

This striking design features distinctive stepped, skyscraper-style forms of the late 1920s.

This is a huge deal, even if you’re not in the habit of reading Old English poetry. I’ve had it on my wishlist for years but it was hovering at $140 (!) & earlier this week it dropped down to $1.99. This is a remarkable anthology of every extant Anglo-Saxon poem and you need it.

When you breathe in through your nose, you want to breathe in as if the nose over the skull hole is not necessarily there and imagine only the hole of the nose there (as if nose was temporarily removed)
Imagine not breathing through nostrils or up into the head, but instead breathe through the hole in your skull and not up but back and down. Make the hole entering the skull your intake location.
Then, have the air go back into head like it’s going to the very back of your head and skull and turning downwards vs up into the top inner region of your head. This will better engage the diaphragm and for some can even feel miraculously different in how much air take one feels they are taking in per breath.
Do this for better air and for better engagement with proper diaphragmatic breathing.
Most people do not know that our human ancestors experienced shrinking nasal cavities and airways (which used to take in a lot more air) as their brains grew larger over our evolutionary timeline.
As early humans learned to process, mash and eventually cook their food with fire, eating became easier and required far less intense chewing.
The rapid surge in human intelligence and this massive calorie intake required to fuel it, drove our faces to reshape themselves to keep up with change.
People like James Nestor (and many anthropological sources) also highlight an evolutionary irony in that our brains got bigger because of these things, but they have actually shrunk over the last 10,000 years, even as our airways continued to get worse.
Lmk if you want to know more on this subject and enjoy this way of breathing.

Yes! I will join you. There is an attempted “switch” going on trying to herd people into fear-created inverse realities. We need to stop it.

Underrated life advice: Have a Bad-Day Protocol. Go for a walk. Eat something clean. Hit a workout. Take a long shower. Get to bed early. Whatever. You don’t need to solve every problem when you’re at your worst. You need a few moves that stop a bad day from becoming a bad week.
