All suggestions for crypto cards and services to limit bank and cex usage are welcome! This is for the US 🇺🇸 So far it looks like I should be able to use some combo of @ether_fi @bitrefill @peerxyz for the spending part 🤷‍♀️
Doing an experiment of trying to completely live on crypto for a month. Goal of 100% of spending, earning, and saving onchain/self custodial. All suggestions for crypto cards or other services welcome for the next week.

The posts I see on CT about the @aeroxyz upgrade only mention the cross-chain expansion Most analysts are totally unaware of the major economic upgrades that will drive its dominance New rev lines, new buybacks, more efficient emissions, 8-9 figs MEV capture, low inflation

➥ $AERO is heading into its biggest upgrade yet, but the real opportunity is in the revenue model @aeroxyz + @VelodromeFi are scheduled to merge into Aero on October 21 expanding from their existing eco into a unified DEX across seven chains that's a pretty significant shift for a protocol that built its position around Base i went through the latest numbers, trailing the latest 30D: → $15.67B DEX volume → $11.72M trading fees → $7.85M protocol revenue → $381M TVL ~41x monthly trading volume relative to TVL, with ~67% of fees recorded as protocol revenue but there's another detail worth watching dashboard shows: → 30D volume: +10.7% → 30D fees: -33.3% → 30D revenue: -45.1% trading activity is growing, but monetization is moving in the opposite direction that's why the Aero upgrade matters here imo beyond expanding distribution across chains the architecture introduces MEV internalization as another potential revenue source instead of relying entirely on swap fees and liquidity incentives the protocol aims to capture more value from the trading flow it already facilitates and for $AERO holders, the veAERO model already provides a route to trading fees through vote-locking still, i'm not treating the merger as an automatic bullish catalyst more chains mean more competition for liquidity token emissions remain important, stronger volume doesn't necessarily translate into better returns for holders let see whether Aero can reverse the decline in fee generation while maintaining its trading vol after the migration if MEV revenue and cross-chain expansion improve the economics i'd become more interested in adding $AERO exposure

Final votes are in for @VelodromeFi @aeroxyz veNFTs. Going to feel weird to change the Wednesday routine of voting and claiming but excited for the new autopilot.
Docs are LIVE ✈️ Ahead of tomorrow's launch, we're sharing an advanced preview of the all-new Aero documentation. Click through to learn about new features like Predictive Allocation, Autopilot, and Metaswaps, and how they all come together. Dive in👇 app.aero.xyz/docs/

CDPs > lending. Why people use lending protocols over @LiquityProtocol @BaseDollarOrg @letsgethai @rai_dollar 🤯
1 in 4 lending protocols gets hacked within 3 years of launch. For DEXs it's 1 in 17. Lending is the single most dangerous thing to build in DeFi.

Sadly, this is pretty true just from personal experience using countless protocols throughout the years. Almost always due to chasing risk via less credible oracles (or hardcoded slop), or not researching exploits of past ones such as donation issues and share manipulation. Without isolation, the risk spreads like wildfire.

This is the CDP to watch 👀! But don’t just watch, use it. Set your own rates and use some of the best collateral on @base
The upcoming launch for @aeroxyz has many new contracts and they were audited by @chain_security and @sherlockdefi, several times each. @BaseDollarOrg also did 2 audits with Sherlock and will be launching alongside Aero.

If you don't have 25 minutes, I tried to sum it up in 2... no excuses to not learn more about stablecoins.🧑‍🏫
DeFi users need to understand stablecoins. Super excited to welcome @TokenBrice from @PharosWatch as my first whiteboard guest! From @LiquityProtocol's decentralized stablecoins to the mechanisms keeping stables safe - and how to utilize those insights on @DeFiSaver As an expert stablecoin researcher - Brice takes us through the different stablecoin models, the risks behind them, and what users should actually look for when evaluating their safety. We also take a closer look at: -> Why many supposedly decentralized stablecoins still rely on centralized entities -> How governance, multisigs, collateral composition and redemption mechanisms can make or break a stablecoin -> How Pharos evaluates stablecoin safety and identifies warning signs before things go wrong -> Real-world examples, including $USDG, $crvUSD and Liquity's $LUSD and $BOLD A great conversation for anyone looking to better understand the stablecoins they're using.

Hoping @letsgethai and @BaseDollarOrg are in that top 10 some day.
Congratulations to our frens at @aeroxyz. Partners since May 2022, from the early Velodrome days on Optimism to Aerodrome on Base, and now this. A reminder for the people in the back: @InverseFinance is the #3 protocol holder of veAERO, with 9.1M veAERO, over 15% of all protocol-owned supply. See you October 21.

Pretty simple just use the Ethereum Dollar. Don’t overthink it.
BOLD and the Stability Pools check all these boxes: ✅ 7% APR paid out in stables ✅ No TradFi dependency ✅ Cannot be frozen ✅ Only backed by ethereum:native, and always redeemable for ethereum:native 🔹 With BOLD at ~$0.997 today, you can swap & make an immediate arb gain of 0.3% 👀 steps👇

DeFi stables help ethereum:native ! That’s why BOLDis the @ethereum dollar
CeFi stables help Wall Street DeFi stables help @Ethereum ⛓️ 0.5% → 5% market share for DeFi stables = $15B pulled onchain from TradFi. AND you get: - More censorship resistance - Increased demand for $ETH Back the stables that back Ethereum, eg: $BOLD $fxUSD $crvUSD
