One of the nice things about the FORGIX is that it is small and very portable, which means it can be used anywhere. This project uses the web cam on a laptop and the FPGA to implement a Sobel filter on the image. It is a great example to show how we can create image processing filters. hackster.io/adam-taylor/fpga…

OpenBMC isn’t just for big iron. It’s a full open-source Linux management stack (Redfish, sensors, remote console, power control, etc.) that works for anything needing reliable out-of-band management—edge boxes, industrial systems, networking gear, storage appliances, rack-level infrastructure, and more. One codebase, less vendor lock-in, faster community-driven security and features.

if we launch enough of these (for <$100 each) we'll literary have our own grid. and then can text all the homies via balloon
We've designed a custom stratospheric balloon platform weighing just under 10 g. anyone can build and launch one by following the docs stratolink.org

github.com/algomatic-dynamic…
