Okay. But I’m kinda psyched for a knife fight. 😬🤷🏾‍♀️🔪
I think Schumer is done. If Dems approach this in a “thank you for your decades of service” way, they could even encourage a graceful exit and avoid a knife fight

The words you’re looking for are “Abolish ICE”.

I will never not be horrified by what I saw Trump do. I will never not be horrified by him having masked ICE agents murder American citizens on our streets. My rage will sustain.

Wow. Even @ElissaSlotkin is saying we need new leadership. 👊🏾
🚨🇺🇸 MICHIGAN — Sen. Elissa Slotkin: “Jeffries and Schumer should step aside... I am a big believer in new leadership... Democrats need new leaders in the House and Senate.”

This alone should lead everyone to support @ChrisVanHollen as Senate Majority Leader. 👊🏾
Trump throws his support behind Chuck Schumer: “Chuck Schumer probably gets it [Majority Leader]. He is not a bad guy. I know him very well.” At this point anyone who thinks change is coming from the duopoly isn’t paying attention. We need a revolution.

you have to basically be okay with Democrats doing literally SHIT if you're still onboard with Chuck Schumer or Hakeem Jeffries. They're both Trump and Israel approved. GMAFB

In doing this, @RoKhanna is backing other Progressive Caucus members like @RepRashida and @IlhanMN into a corner, speaking preemptively for them. A truly awful thing to do when the issue is a House leader who takes cash to support genocide.
Ro Khanna says Hakeem Jeffries is going to be Speaker just now on MSNOW. That itll be unanimous in the prog caucus. Man these politicians are not reading the room. “A pretty historic moment. The first African American speaker. We have ideological differences that we’ll work out.”

#News - Michigan Sen -Elect Abdul El-Sayed on CNN says he’ll support Md Sen Chris Van Hollen for Senate Majority Leader if Van Hollen decides to challenge Sen Chuck Schumer. El-Sayed says Van Hollen “would be amazing” in that role.

Nooooooo. He & Schumer will halt any and all progress. They are being paid to do so. @RoKhanna , I hope house progressives conditioned support for Hakeem—no money for genocide/Iran War, abolish 🧊, Medicare 4all, impeach Trump 2.0 👊🏾

Los Angeles, I am deeply honored to be your next mayor. I just spoke with Mayor Bass and expressed my deepest gratitude for her leadership and decades of service. Los Angeles would not be the city it is today without her. I love this city. I believe in its people. The work ahead will be hard, and change will take time. And together, we are going to build a future as extraordinary as the city we call home. Thank you, LA. Let’s get to work.

If everyone falls in line and simply keeps the old guard in power, you will see this enthusiasm vanish. People voted for Dems, but they also voted for change. It’s on our elected officials to make good on that promise.
Guys, guys, I just called my Dem Congressman's office to tell him I don't want Jeffries as speaker and before I was even done with my preamble, the staffer said, let me guess what you're going to say...he said he's been hearing it all day and then he asked me what I'd like to see Democrats do and had a 10 minute conversation with me. He even asked me to repeat some items from my laundry list so he could write it down. I also called my Senator. Who has also been getting calls about new leadership. Call your reps!

Abdul El-Sayed hasn’t even been sworn in yet, and he’s already shaking shit up in Washington. He told CNN he’d back Chris Van Hollen to replace Chuck Schumer if he runs. THAT is the kind of change we voted for. We didn’t vote for business as usual, we voted to shake the damn table.

Democrats just won a historic landslide largely because of the war. Ending the war should be the number one priority. And they can do it.
Notice that Schumer is pushing off a commitment to end the war until NEXT YEAR. But @VanHollenForMD and @RoKhanna are calling on Democrats to block the funding that comes with the continuing resolution on December 11th.
