I hope everyone reads this as it takes a bit to explain: MAGA IS NOT DEAD BUT IT IS DIMINISHED. There is a HUGE opportunity before us now to diminish it further. Right now - there are Trump voters all across America - MAGA and non-MAGA alike - tons of them - who are aware of - and tired of - Trump's lies, bombast, divisiveness, whininess, nonsensical riffs, incompetence, and especially: self-centeredness, corruption, grift, and broken promises. Many of them voted against him in the midterms. Some who voted against him, are done with him. Some who voted against him, are just pissed. And some, who may or may not have voted against him - are having doubts - about MAGA, about him, and about the world view which has pummeled their brains since they started watching Fox nonstop. These people - the ones having doubts, now number IN THE MILLIONS. These are the ones I want to speak about. We saw it coming in the polls, especially the "strong approval" numbers, which hovered at 15%. I was lucky. I was told that there were millions having doubts by someone who knew, someone who was there, someone who specifically told me that we would see narrowing margins and even a few flips this election in places we never believed was possible. And I was able to make a plan because I believed him. I want to share more about that, and I will in a minute, but first, I want to be clear what I mean when I say they are having doubts. What they're feeling is called Cognitive Dissonance. Cognitive dissonance is a psychological conflict between established and vested views (Trump is great, Trump is a patriot, Trump will fight for me against the Deep State) and the things they're now seeing and feeling (Trump is a liar, Trump is Unamerican, Trump only cares about himself and he IS the Deep State). Humans strive for internal consistency to function effectively in the world. When confronted with conflicting or "dissonant" information, they experience stress or shame, driving them to resolve dissonance. How will these Trump voters resolve the dissonance? Some did and left. Some are cynical and thinking of leaving. But most will minimize it and rationalize it and go back to being MAGA. It takes a lot of discomfort to get people to change behavior, especially when they feel as "vested in the myth" as many MAGAs have been. I don't want to debate in this post what MAGA is or isn't. Fact is, they're NOT all the same. And I don't want to listen to judgment about them all being stupid or all being racist. This is serious. Some are, some aren't. What I do want to put forward is that we are ALL better off, as Dems, and as Americans, if more of them who are having doubts, leave the "movement." Again, there are many millions of them having doubts now. Holy sh*t, what a huge opportunity. The guy who told me that we would see narrowing margins and even a few flips this election in places we never believed was possible, was Rich Logis. He said to me: "Howard (that's my actual name) - Dems are going to take Texas and at least one state redder than Texas. And they're going to get close in other places. And they're not going to lose one single Blue state." Rich Logis was in MAGA for 7 years. He left MAGA in 2022, wrote a book, and started Leaving MAGA in 2024 to help others leave. He does it the right way, without judgment. It's working. Here's the challenge - we can't break through the echo chambers of Fox and Meta algorithms easily. It needs to happen creatively, organically, a few at a time, and MAGA has to make the first move. Until Rich and Leaving MAGA, there was nothing to make that happen. Now there is. THE single most effective and powerful thing Rich is doing - is putting up BILLBOARDS, so that others who might be having doubts about MAGA that see them, can know - simply - IF they're having doubts, it's ok. And IF they're having doubts, they're not alone. And IF they're having doubts, there is a safe place to go to speak with people who have been there. The more billboards Leaving MAGA puts up, especially NOW, the more people WILL leave, the more people will think about leaving, the more people will know it's ok to leave. I believed Rich when he told me what he predicted for this election. And so, I made plans to help him. Two weeks ago, before the election, I built a page for him on Kickstarter (crowdfunding) and launched a campaign to help him fund more billboards. It's already 50% to its target, but now - after the result of the election - it needs to go way over the target. These billboards need to be everywhere we can get them. Rich says he now knows exactly the places where the billboards can have the biggest effect - he didn't know that before the election for sure, he only thought he knew. Now, he does. THIS is one answer to reaching those in MAGA who are having doubts as it bypasses the echo chambers and algorithms. It's a very good answer - these billboards are huge and they have a behavioral impact. I know people are drained financially and some of that is from supporting candidates. But I'm asking those who follow me and those who follow the people retweeting this to please click the link and go to the page and read about the campaign called LEAVING MAGA - BILLBOARDS. Please support the effort, at any level above zero. Pick a Reward, and let's take a real step to bringing America closer together. If even 10% of MAGA who are having doubts but haven't left yet can resolve their cognitive dissonance by leaving, it's going to bode well for the presidency in 2028. And come on, we all know that Trump will keep overreaching, like he did by appointing Miller. Let these people having doubts see this, on top of their existing doubts, and then see a billboard. Thanks for the time and for the consideration. kickstarter.com/projects/124…

Oh my god someone told Trump to pick DoD Spox and ex-House GOP flak Dana White as Press Secretary and he thought they meant Dana White the CEO of UFC.
Trump: “I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States. I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris. We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Ok, I didn’t expect a story time on Saturday, but here we go. What I’m about to write is TRUE. It is insane, stupid, and very dumb, but it is true. Earlier today Donald J Trump, the p[resident of the United States, posted that he had offered the job of Press Secretary to Dana White. Well, it was the wrong Dana White… 🧵

Apparently there’s a lady named Dana White who is an DoD public affairs assistant and I guarantee you someone recommended her to Trump and he thought they meant UFC Dana White and nobody is allowed to correct him lol

As the next chair of the Social Security Subcommittee, a top priority will be to expand Social Security benefits by at least $2,400 a year & extend Social Security’s solvency for generations. How? By scrapping the cap & demanding that the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes.

Schumer refused to endorse the Democrat who has become the most popular mayor in the most important city in the country—in his own home state—because of Schumer’s support for Netanyahu. Schumer should not be Majority Leader.

Chuck Schumer refused to endorse Zohran Mamdani for mayor. He also never said anything about Rep Ilhan Omar’s house being raided. Schumer has no place in Democratic Party leadership.

Kansas voter here. Actually right in the center, so deep cow country. We are tired. We are broke. We are seeing our friends and neighbors terrorized. What the hell would we want more of the same for? Hope this helps.
Can anyone please explain how every county in Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Texas went blue? Really? I don't believe it. There's no freaking way that Farmers and Ranchers voted blue. No chance.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Every county in Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, and Texas did not "go blue" but data did show that every county SHIFTED towards blue. For example all Texas counties moved towards the left more than when compared to the 2024. To reiterate this does not mean ALL counties went blue. nbcnews.com/politics/2026-…

Hey, Supreme Court, this type of shit is why the Voting Rights Act should still be a law. Republicans tried to boot all poor people off the voter rolls in Mississippi right before an election.
The reason there is so many affidavit votes is because the Mississippi Secretary of State purged the voting rolls by having Experian come in & clean them up which marked over 50,000 voters inactive before the midterms. So the only way they could vote was to vote by affidavit.

PSA: You don’t get to refuse to support Zohran and actively oppose Abdul and take money from AIPAC and oppose Medicare for All and be chicken shit about abolishing ICE… then turn around and act shocked that people don’t see you as leadership material. @SenSchumer @RepJeffries

So Republican officials intentionally disenfranchised thousands of Mississippi voters and are now gearing up to go to court to say we only meant to disenfranchise the Democrats, not the Republicans, so only the Republican affidavit votes should count…am I getting that right?
