Does the @nytimes know that Tolkien fought at the Batttle of the Somme in WWI where the British took 57,000 casualties in the first 24 hours?
At the end of the offensive over 1 million men were killed, wounded, or missing.
Seems like this article is inaccurate 🧐

Multimillionaire Democrat Senator Ron Wyden’s family business illegally received nearly a million taxpayer dollars in a COVID loan it was ineligible to receive because he is an elected official.
Remember that when Democrats claim to care about oversight and corruption.

Washington voters just did something historic in a deep-blue state: they passed the first-ever ballot measure requiring K-12 athletes to compete based on biological sex.

This seems like a bad idea when the students who participate in the program are:
60% low income
17% special needs
Affordability is the goal, right?

Saint Benedict of Nursia is widely considered the man who preserved Western Civilization after the fall of Rome.
Today may be a great day to look to the example of one of Europe’s greatest Saints.
After the political collapse of Rome, Benedict began founding monasteries across Italy laying the social and spiritual groundwork for medieval Christendom.
As Roman government and infrastructure were wiped away by anarchy and barbarism, Benedictine monasteries became safe havens that copied, stored, and protected sacred texts, classical literature, and ancient wisdom.
When the outlook was dire and civilization seemed to be failing, he focused on God and built redoubts of Western thought around a simple saying, “Ora et labora” (prayer and work).
Benedictine monks began teaching everything from agriculture to architecture and brewing across Europe.
Through the years, the Benedictine Order produced over 57,000 known saints and 35 popes, of whom 17 are Saints or Blesseds.
Saint Benedict of Nursia, pray for us today and always.

“Hey dad… don’t forget to vote for the R candidates today and check NO for every crazy thing Gov. Spanberger wants to push in Virginia.”

This is pure evil. My Forced Abortion Prevention and Accountability Act would make giving a woman abortion pills without her consent a federal CRIME and ensure that monsters like this are held accountable.

So much is at stake this Election Day, most of all the lives of unborn babies.
@BishopBurbidge makes a powerful case against Virginia's proposed constitutional amendment on abortion.
"Ballot Question 1 would create a virtually unfettered legal right to abortion for anyone, even minors, up to the moment of birth."
What you need to know before you vote:
❌ Creates a sweeping constitutional right to abortion
❌ Allows abortion through all stages of pregnancy
❌ Weakens parental rights for minors as young as 13
❌ Protects human traffickers who aid or assist abortions
❌ Undermines health and safety safeguards
Thanks to @arlingtonchurch for leading the CATHOLICS VOTE NO campaign to educate Virginia voters.

Just got done voting and had the same question. Says a lot that giving felons the right to vote is a priority for Gov. Spanberger.
Anyway, I filled in that “NO” circle as much as I could.

MUST WATCH: El-Sayed’s pal Hasan Piker and Nick Fuentes. You really can’t tell ’em apart!
On Black people:
Fuentes - “I don’t wanna live around black people.”
Piker - “I don’t give a f*ck what black people care about.”
On America:
Fuentes - “This is a godless country. I hate it.”
Piker - “America deserved 9/11, dude.”
Piker - “Motherf*ck the Constitution and motherf*ck this country.”
On Jews:
Fuentes - “They’re ugly. They’re dysgenic.”
Piker - “The most inbred”
Same hate. Same contempt. But apparently one comes with a progressive exemption.
Wait… his answer is basically that it’s okay to force young girls to see a penis in a locker room because they can see it online anyway?!?!
He deserves to lose on this horrendous answer alone.
.@AbdulElSayed says it’s ok for MEN to be in girl’s locker rooms.
Why?
“Well because they are going to find out about it on the internet anyway”
Completely unacceptable.

Holy smokes from NYT: "In the summer of 2025, a staffer for Mary Peltola, the Alaska Democrat who was eyeing a run for Senate, received unusual instructions from top campaign aides: Find as many people named Dan Sullivan in Alaska as you can.....The plan worked."
Michele Perez Exner retweeted
This should be a massive political scandal. I do not know the legal implications but in a more normal political era would preclude Peltola from holding public office.
SCOOP: Democrats have insisted they have nothing to do with the other Dan Sullivan on Alaska's Senate ballot.
But aides with the Mary Peltola campaign and DSCC were part of a monthslong secret plan to recruit him to run -- as well as other candidates.
