There is no plan. No roadmap. James Gunn is literally winging it. Like a dude who plans his entire day while he's on the toilet taking a shit. The DCU is cooked.
James Gunn wants Margot Robbie to return as Harley Quinn but he doesn’t know if she wants to.
He also says that what happens to Harley in The Suicide Squad is only canon if Margot Robbie returns to play the character but if he has to recast then he might choose another story of origin for the character.
Batman exists in the DCU but Joker hasn’t been established yet even though he has a past with Robbie’s version of the character.
Seems like Gunn is still trying to figure it all out.

James Gunn likes to LARP like he knows comics. All he does is google the most obscure characters in order to appear like he knows comic books. He then uses the unknown characters and changes completely everything about them. Then he uses a famous character like Green Lantern and completely bastardizes the IP and people start to notice that he’s just a larper with access to Google.
