A new law that risks criminalising parents who question whether their children are trans must be scrapped, MPs, peers and experts have demanded.
āGenderā, as opposed to sex, is an anti-scientific myth. If a child with a penis announces that he is really a girl, parents and teachers have a positive duty to educate him in the scientific truth that he is a boy.
Of course no parent should use physical or psychological abuse for any reason. But if anyone should be prosecuted it is those who abuse their duty of care by encouraging children in the anti-scientific delusion that they can choose their own sex.

For a long time Iāve thought and said āIf people didnāt treat JK Rowling like jerks, then she wouldnāt have become so radicalized.ā
I now realize my mistake.
Now that Iāve read her actual essay, I realize
She isnāt radicalized. Sheās perfectly reasonable even now.
Itās so easy to fall into the assumption that someone is evil because everyone else says so. I canāt believe Iāve fallen into that trap.
I know not everyone will agree, but give it a read for yourself. The hostility she received is met with calm, rational warmth in the essay.

As a gay man, I'll say what a lot of us are thinking.
We fought to be left alone. To marry the man we love, keep our jobs, and live a quiet life.
We won.
Then woke activists took our letters, stapled on a dozen causes we never signed up for, and started calling us bigots for saying sex is real.
That isn't our movement anymore.

Why did I blow the whistle?
Because these interventions donāt work. Period.
How do I know this?
Because our patients told us so.
Because in the privacy of the doctorās office, where no therapist is judging, where no teacher who changed their name is listening- they knew.
They knew their health was worsening, they were tired, still sad, still lost, their labs were worsening.
Sometimes they knew in a matter of months, sometimes years later. But they knew.

There are times when I ask myself whether Iām being a bit too hard on my employer when I accuse it of grotesque breaches of impartiality.
And then I hear interviews like this.
Itās absolutely staggering that Karen Dalziel, the senior BBC editor responsible for Radio 4ās Womanās Hour, can talk about the very definition of a woman as though itās some endlessly shifting, contested concept.
During an interview with Ros Atkins (who actually does his job properly), marking 80 years of Womanās Hour, Dalziel is asked about the Supreme Court ruling which established that the words woman and sex in the Equality Act refer to biological sex.
Her response is revealing. She talks about the story moving, about how a legal judgment that settles something at one point is, for many people, merely a beginning. She even invokes the history of women getting the vote, as though the biological definition of a woman is another chapter in some great unfolding struggle for equality.
Think about the offensive absurdity of this.
For most of the 80 years that Womanās Hour has been broadcasting, the meaning of the word woman was perfectly well understood. Yet here we are, celebrating that anniversary, with the programmeās own editor apparently treating that biological reality as something endlessly open to reinterpretation, rather than a fact that should underpin the programmeās coverage.
Giving equal weight to the proposition that any man who declares himself a woman thereby becomes one is not a neutral, impartial position. Itās an ideological one.
Dalziel isnāt finished though, and keeps digging. She suggests Womanās Hour listeners are too old to āunderstand the terminologyā. Presumably, these daft old bats are holding onto the quaint, hopelessly unfashionable idea that a woman isnāt a costume or a feeling but a biological reality. If only their befuddled brains could catch up with the enlightened metropolitan consensus!
It absolutely enrages me listening to this.
Because this is how the BBC has been hollowed out from within. By people in influential editorial positions so ideologically captured or cowardly that they can no longer distinguish between impartial journalism and progressive orthodoxies.
The BBC cannot restore its reputation for impartiality while people who mistake ideological conformity for editorial balance occupy senior positions.
Until theyāre removed, every last one of them, all the BBCās grand declarations about impartiality arenāt worth the paper theyāre written on.

šØLuka ModriÄ on facing Jude Bellingham with England in Croatiaās 7-0 humiliation:
š£ļø Luka ModriÄ: āBefore the game, I spoke to Jude and told him, āTonight, forget everything about Madrid. You are England and I am Croatia.ā
āHe smiled and said, āI know, Luka. But donāt expect me to make it easy for you.ā
āI laughed because I knew exactly what he meant.
āTonight was different because I was facing a player I know very well, but this time there was nothing familiar about the situation.
āI told our midfield before the game, āDonāt give Jude space to turn.ā
āBut thatās easier said than done.
āBecause with Jude, if you follow him everywhere, you create space for someone else. If you give him space, he turns and drives straight at you.
āAnd tonight we gave him too much freedom.
āHe was carrying the ball through our midfield, arriving in dangerous areas and connecting with Kane, Saka and Gordon. Every time England moved forward, Jude seemed to be involved.
āAt one point I looked at him and thought, āThis is exactly why Real Madrid wanted him.ā
āThe difference is that tonight I wasnāt there to help him. I was there to stop him.
āAnd we couldnāt.
āAfter the game, Jude came over to me. He didnāt celebrate in my face or say anything disrespectful. He just said, āLuka, that was a difficult night for you.ā
āI told him, āYes, Jude. Very difficult.ā
āThen I said, āEnjoy it tonight. But remember, football has a long memory. One day you will be on the other side of a night like this.ā
āHe smiled and said, āI hope not.ā
āI told him, āYou will. Thatās football.ā
Tonight he was the young player I once helped guide at Madrid. But on that pitch, he was Englandās player and he showed Croatia exactly why he is so difficult to stop.ā
