When I say there is no democracy in Israel I mean two things
First, about 1/3 of Israel’s population has no political rights whatsoever and lives under military rule
Second, even for those who can vote there are no visible differences and they are not allowed. It’s not that there are only cosmetic differences between Netanyahu and Eisenkot. No, there are no cosmetic differences either. And Arab parties (who of course have never been allowed to hold a ministry) were first legally banned and then politically banned from the election

Eight-year-old Fatima Hisham al-Bayook has succumbed to her injuries after being struck by an Israeli bullet a few days ago east of Deir al-Balah, Gaza.
There had been desperate pleas for her urgent medical evacuation in the hope of saving her life.
After contacting her family, I can also confirm that Fatima’s mother and two younger siblings were killed in an Israeli strike on December 13, 2023.
Her siblings were Leen, a baby less than a year old, and Asaad, just three years old.
Israel’s terror and the systematic destruction of Palestinian families continue to unfold before the eyes of the world.

Position statement.
If Zionism were simply about establishing the right of Jews to live safely wherever they are, including in their ancestral homeland, I would be a Zionist.
But this isn't what Zionism is about. It is, and always has been, about creating a Jewish-majority state in a land where the majority of people are not Jewish. This necessarily means either removing most non-Jews or denying them citizenship. Zionists have done, and are still doing, both.
I believe in the right of ALL people to live safely wherever they are. I oppose every means used to drive people out of their homes and lands: mass murder, ethnic cleansing, systematic violence, denial of citizenship, violation of basic human rights.
Zionism uses all these means to create and maintain its Jewish state.
Therefore I am an anti-Zionist.

No. The IDF is an illegal occupying power. It has no right to "defend itself" by fighting justified resistance. As long as Israel is occupying stolen land, it will never have ANY justification for military action.
