The men and women who defend our nation give this country everything we ask of them. They deserve the very best this country can give back.

Part of re-setting Alberta’s relationship with Ottawa after the Trudeau years is seeing a return of military investment in the Alberta based Canadian Armed Forces.
Today’s announcement is a massive victory for our province and the country as we become a national defence hub.
$8 Billion in federal investment is modernizing and expanding the bases at Edmonton, Cold Lake, Suffield and Wainwright.
Today, the federal government also announced that Alberta will be home to the Western Main Operating Base for the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CC-330 Husky Fleet, putting our province at the centre of how this country defends itself.
What follows is just as important. Up to 38,000 Alberta jobs. Contracts for the companies that build, maintain and supply these projects. A domestic defence industry taking root in a province that already leads in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, logistics and technology.
The men and women serving on these bases are proud Canadians and proud Albertans. They deserve facilities that match what this country asks of them.
When Canada needs the space, the expertise and the capacity to defend itself, Alberta delivers.

🚨BREAKING
The federal NDP and Avi Lewis @avilewis just released a statement opposing the new pacific link pipeline and demanding it be halted. They oppose Alberta's Pacific Link pipeline and they will do everything in their power to kill it.
Understand what this means... This would kill 140,000 jobs. Stop tens of billions in new wealth for Albertans to build things like hospitals and schools. Lost jobs and lower paycheques for Alberta families.
Today I am calling on Naheed Nenshi @nenshi to do what he should have done a long time ago. Cut ties with his boss, Avi Lewis and the federal NDP. Officially, formally, in writing today. A clean break, right down to the name of their party.
Not doing so tells Albertans all they need to know about where the NDP stands on Alberta energy… which is “leave it in the ground”.

Alberta’s Pacific Link pipeline is officially a project of national interest. This means the permitting process is fast tracked and we can reach our goal to get final construction permits approved by September of next year!
One million barrels a day from Alberta to the west coast, and from there to the Asia Pacific and beyond. This means greater energy sovereignty for Canada and a better price for every barrel that leaves this province.
That is more than $20 billion a year added to Canada's economy and up to 140,000 jobs in Alberta, British Columbia and across the country.
Here is what it means at your kitchen table. Stronger paycheques. Tens of billions in new revenue for the hospitals, schools and roads Albertans use every day.

We are very glad to have you back on our 🧢 conservative team Scott.
Scott has always been a strong advocate for Lesser Slave Lake and for northern Alberta, and I know how deeply he cares about the people and communities he represents.
I want to thank him for the sincere effort he has made to reconnect with caucus and rejoin our team. I look forward to working together again on behalf of Albertans.
I have an exciting announcement to make.
It’s one of the greatest honours of my life to represent the people of Lesser Slave Lake. You have placed your trust in me to be your voice, and that responsibility matters deeply to me.
Over the past year, I’ve taken some time to reflect on certain moments and on how I chose to raise concerns publicly, particularly when it came to colleagues and teammates in government.
While holding government to account is an important part of our Westminster system, I wasn’t elected to serve as a member of the opposition. I was elected as a member of the United Conservative Party, a team I was proud to be part of and one that the people of Lesser Slave Lake put their trust in.
Looking back, there were times I let passion and emotion lead my decisions. My public criticism of the Premier and the government, particularly around the budget, came from passion for our riding, but I recognize now there was a better way to handle those disagreements.
I’ve always stood up for my constituents, and that’ll never change. But I’ve learned that how I raise concerns matters and that I’m best able to serve the people I represent when I work as part of a strong team.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to move forward, and I’m glad to be welcomed back in the United Conservative Caucus, where I belong, working alongside colleagues to deliver for the great people of Lesser Slave Lake and for all Albertans.
This is an exciting day for our riding and I’m ready to get back to work in Government.

Violent crimes and dangerous, repeat offenders have exploited our communities and manipulated the federal governments soft on crime policies for too long.
We need to restore common sense law and order and stop the revolving door for criminals who prey on innocent people.
The federal government needs to stop wasting taxpayer dollars chasing law-abiding gun owners, farmer, business owners and hunters.
How about they focus on actual gun-related crimes (murder, armed robbery) and gangs; and make our streets and communities safe again.

We still need to vote on it and pass it in the legislature but this is an incredible win for the people of Lesser Slave Lake.
I’ve learned a lot in the last year and definitely made some mistakes and certainly I would’ve done things in a different way.
But I will never apologize for standing up for northern Alberta and I’ve never been prouder to be your MLA.
Thank you to everyone 😊 #abpoli

Yesterday in the legislature, I used my member statement to honour Don Cherry.
An icon to the sport of hockey, a proud Canadian and fierce advocate for veterans and first responders; Not to mention being a real beauty 👍
I’m open to having respectful conversations about it, but he’s a no-brainer for the Order of Canada for me.

WE GOT IT DONE.
Thank you to everyone for the support and all of the regional leaders who’ve been instrumental in advocating for “resource revenue mapping”. This is a big win for the north and for our riding.
Motion 507 passed unanimously in the Alberta Legislature yesterday with support from both the UCP and NDP. A rare moment of common ground in a very partisan environment.
This is about transparency. Fairness. And standing up for our communities.
See my full speech on Motion 507 here.

Motion 507 has just officially PASSED unanimously in the Alberta Legislature today.
I was proud to bring forward this motion and even prouder to see it receive support from both the UCP and the NDP.
Motion 507 pushes for better resource revenue mapping, helping show exactly how much wealth communities in northern Alberta generate through industries like oil and gas, forestry, agriculture, and more.
This is about transparency, fairness, and making sure northern Alberta’s contributions are clearly recognized.
More information and a video from today’s debate coming soon. #abpoli
**MOTION 507**
Hello everybody, today I brought forward my first official motion in the legislature.
The topic is resource revenue mapping, which has the potential to be a game changer for northern Alberta. Please watch and share! #abpoli
My heart is with the people of Tumbler Ridge and the families of those lost in yesterday’s devastating tragedy. In small communities, when something this tragic happens, it touches everyone.
These towns are built on neighbours looking out for each other and standing together in hard times. Praying for the families, the students, and all those affected.
Yesterday, the lives of JJ Wright, Cameron Casorso and Caden Fine were tragically lost in a car accident on a way to hockey practice. As a former junior coach and player, this definitely hits close to home and there are no words that are adequate.
My deepest sympathies and condolences go to the families, loved ones and everyone involved with the Mustangs team and community.
“The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels tonight” ❤️ 🙏🏾
