The men and women who defend our nation give this country everything we ask of them. They deserve the very best this country can give back.

Part of re-setting Alberta’s relationship with Ottawa after the Trudeau years is seeing a return of military investment in the Alberta based Canadian Armed Forces.
Today’s announcement is a massive victory for our province and the country as we become a national defence hub.
$8 Billion in federal investment is modernizing and expanding the bases at Edmonton, Cold Lake, Suffield and Wainwright.
Today, the federal government also announced that Alberta will be home to the Western Main Operating Base for the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CC-330 Husky Fleet, putting our province at the centre of how this country defends itself.
What follows is just as important. Up to 38,000 Alberta jobs. Contracts for the companies that build, maintain and supply these projects. A domestic defence industry taking root in a province that already leads in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, logistics and technology.
The men and women serving on these bases are proud Canadians and proud Albertans. They deserve facilities that match what this country asks of them.
When Canada needs the space, the expertise and the capacity to defend itself, Alberta delivers.

🚨BREAKING
The federal NDP and Avi Lewis @avilewis just released a statement opposing the new pacific link pipeline and demanding it be halted. They oppose Alberta's Pacific Link pipeline and they will do everything in their power to kill it.
Understand what this means... This would kill 140,000 jobs. Stop tens of billions in new wealth for Albertans to build things like hospitals and schools. Lost jobs and lower paycheques for Alberta families.
Today I am calling on Naheed Nenshi @nenshi to do what he should have done a long time ago. Cut ties with his boss, Avi Lewis and the federal NDP. Officially, formally, in writing today. A clean break, right down to the name of their party.
Not doing so tells Albertans all they need to know about where the NDP stands on Alberta energy… which is “leave it in the ground”.

Alberta’s Pacific Link pipeline is officially a project of national interest. This means the permitting process is fast tracked and we can reach our goal to get final construction permits approved by September of next year!
One million barrels a day from Alberta to the west coast, and from there to the Asia Pacific and beyond. This means greater energy sovereignty for Canada and a better price for every barrel that leaves this province.
That is more than $20 billion a year added to Canada's economy and up to 140,000 jobs in Alberta, British Columbia and across the country.
Here is what it means at your kitchen table. Stronger paycheques. Tens of billions in new revenue for the hospitals, schools and roads Albertans use every day.

We are very glad to have you back on our 🧢 conservative team Scott.
Scott has always been a strong advocate for Lesser Slave Lake and for northern Alberta, and I know how deeply he cares about the people and communities he represents.
I want to thank him for the sincere effort he has made to reconnect with caucus and rejoin our team. I look forward to working together again on behalf of Albertans.
I have an exciting announcement to make.
It’s one of the greatest honours of my life to represent the people of Lesser Slave Lake. You have placed your trust in me to be your voice, and that responsibility matters deeply to me.
Over the past year, I’ve taken some time to reflect on certain moments and on how I chose to raise concerns publicly, particularly when it came to colleagues and teammates in government.
While holding government to account is an important part of our Westminster system, I wasn’t elected to serve as a member of the opposition. I was elected as a member of the United Conservative Party, a team I was proud to be part of and one that the people of Lesser Slave Lake put their trust in.
Looking back, there were times I let passion and emotion lead my decisions. My public criticism of the Premier and the government, particularly around the budget, came from passion for our riding, but I recognize now there was a better way to handle those disagreements.
I’ve always stood up for my constituents, and that’ll never change. But I’ve learned that how I raise concerns matters and that I’m best able to serve the people I represent when I work as part of a strong team.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to move forward, and I’m glad to be welcomed back in the United Conservative Caucus, where I belong, working alongside colleagues to deliver for the great people of Lesser Slave Lake and for all Albertans.
This is an exciting day for our riding and I’m ready to get back to work in Government.

UCP officials say the interim Wyant ‘Health Scandal’ Report will not be released, arguing there is no requirement under the government’s own terms of reference to do so.
The former AHS CEO was dismissed after refusing to abandon her review of surgical facility contracts and a sole-sourced $70M Tylenol deal. That contract left as much as $50M unaccounted for, and she attempted to recover those funds.
Despite repeated attempts to shut down AHS investigations, the UCP denies wrongdoing.
The matter, now before the courts, has triggered multiple investigations - including RCMP and auditor general probes - yet the Wyant report - commissioned by the UCP to clear themselves - remains delayed and hidden from the public.

As an elected MLA and proud Albertan, I’ve watched with growing concern as the UCP has lost its way. What started as a promise to unite conservatives and serve the people has drifted into a government plagued by backroom deals, eroding transparency, and top-down control. That’s not the kind of conservatism I signed up for — and it’s not what Albertans deserve.
Alongside MLA Scott Sinclair I’m working to revive the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta — a movement rooted in accountability, transparency, anti-corruption, and fiscal responsibility.
This isn’t about division. It’s about restoring integrity, rebuilding trust, and putting people before politics.
