Hello, @RepJeffries? I'm reaching out to you as my Congressional Representative to ask that you do not vote for Hakeem Jeffries for speaker.

Chuck Schumer saw 4 Black Senate candidates closing in on historic Southern upsets—Nixon in FL, Davis in LA, Wess in AL, and Colom in MS—and starved every single campaign.
Left 4 Senate seats on the table because his playbook is from 1980.

The key to the legacy media’s cataclysmic decline is that they really do think you’re an idiot.
Chuck Schumer has gone from a punching bag for Democrats to the architect of their historic landslide, @FranklinFoer writes. He spoke with the senator: theatln.tc/8GgiSxtj

No faction of the Democratic Party can declare victory after the midterms. The Republican implosion is so great that all Dem factions won, from democratic socialists to corporate centrists. Fascism is not defeated by one election (it can always be reconstituted into something even more dangerous…) but it can be, and we know how to do it. With left economic populism. Too radical? Wrong. One of Trump’s most significant legacies is that he exploded the Overton window. Anything is possible - for worse and for better. That means Democrats no longer have any excuse not to run on - and deliver - the policies that will actually meet people’s basic needs and address our most pressing crises, from systemic political corruption to climate breakdown. Bold, people-first policies is how we beat back fascism for real.

This election Democrats have flipped the Attorney General offices in: AK, TX, KS, IA, OH, GA and NC. Losing the Texas AGs office is a bodyblow to the conservative legal project as they lose their most competent office and their favorite forums in the country

Crazy thing to say about one of the top 10 best communicators in politics lol
AOC derangement is wild
Replying to @MargBarAmerica
yes for whatever benefits she offers she is a terrible communicator, and that's the whole ballgame.

some of us worked campaigns 20 years ago, and there's a real difference between promising to fight for the middle class and tax the wealthy vs candidates across the party centering the idea that billionaires + corporations have rigged the system and made your life more expensive

We are sending real people to Washington DC 🥹🥹 I hope they remember where they came from

Jeffries is anointed. Dems won't budge from him as leader, which is a huge mistake, but that's that.
HOWEVER...
We can remove Schumer.
Keep it up.

Let’s remember that Ossof doesn’t support abolishing ICE, he doesn’t support universal healthcare, and he doesn’t support propping up an arms embargo against Israel. Hell no, we can’t seriously consider him as a presidential candidate.

Kansas Democrats gained a whopping 19 seats in the State House so far; they'll probably end up with a 20-seat net gain overall.
1. This is the most seats KS Democrats have won in the KS House since 1990.
2. This is the largest single-year net gain Democrats have made in the KS House since the 1930 midterms.

🗳️ Senate Majority PAC, the super PAC tied to Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, spent $150 million in Ohio, $67 million each in Iowa and Michigan, $65 million in Maine, $40 million in Texas and $14 million in Kansas, per final figures. Democrats won all six.
🔸It spent only $750,000 in South Carolina, where Democrat Annie Andrews won anyway.
🔸 In Florida, neither the PAC nor the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the party's official Senate campaign arm, spent anything. AdImpact found $28.7 million in Republican TV ads for Moody in the general election, against only $7.9 million from Democrats. Progressive state Rep. Angie Nixon pleaded on TV for help. Schumer's answer, she said, was "We'll see." She lost to Moody by less than 3 points in the deeply red state.
🔸 In Mississippi, where the PAC spent $2.2 million and the DSCC roughly $500,000, Democrat Scott Colom leads Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith by 0.1%.
"They haven't been trying," Colom told NBC News. "Most of the time the Democrats conceded the state... When you show voters you don't care, they don't show up.”

NEW poll: A supermajority of Jewish Americans believe Israeli & AIPAC actions increase antisemitism.
80% say Israel’s actions in Gaza & the West Bank increase antisemitism in the US.
66% say AIPAC’s campaign spending against candidates critical of Israel increases antisemitism.

for those who claim that anti zionism = antisemitism because ‘a majority of jews are zionists’ and you can’t argue with the majority of jews:
